Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The portable washer has generally been appreciated by users for its practicality, especially those living in apartments without in-unit laundry facilities. It displays effectiveness in cleaning clothes with vigorous agitation and features a spin-dry function, although it is not identical to a typical dryer. Despite some hurdles in setting it up and manual interaction needed for its operation, reviewers find it a worthwhile investment to eliminate trips to the laundromat.

Pros

  • 👍 High efficiency in cleaning clothes.
  • 👌 Compact size suitable for apartments or small spaces.
  • 🔄 Comes with a spin-dry function.
  • 🏠 Much more convenient than trips to the laundromat.

Cons

  • ❗ The inlet hose might require an alternative solution as it doesn't fit standard sinks.
  • 💼 More manual labor involved compared to standard washing machines.
  • 📏 Requires an extension cord due to a short in-built plug.
  • 😓 Spinner is small, so can only spin a few items at a time.

Should I Buy It?

If you are seeking a solution for laundry in a confined living space, or simply wish to avoid laundromats, then this portable washer is a good purchase. Despite its manual nature and a few drawbacks related to its hose and plug, the washing efficiency and convenience it brings make it a solid choice for those with specific laundry needs.

  • Works well so far, but must know its limits!
Color: Black
Came sooner than expected and was packaged well. I am disabled, but I was able to get it in, move it to its location and unbox/set up by myself. Had to take rest breaks but it was do able. Set up: I'm storing and using it inside my standard size bathtub/shower (when I need to use the bathtub, I left it out and onto a luggage cart on wheels and roll it into my kitchen area, then put it back when done, since I live in a very small one room studio apartment). Since it drains 100% by gravity, I ordered two non-slip foot stools and put them into the bathtub slightly apart from each other, then placed the washing machine on top of the foot stools (the space between the foot stools allow good air flow to the underside of the washing machine where the motors are located and keeps the bottom of the washing machine out of any drainage water flow), this raises the washing machine off the bottom surface of the bathtub and allows for full gravity drainage (I just let the drainage hose hang down into bathtub and use the tub drainage). The lint filter in the washing machine keeps the drainage water clean enough to not cause a problem with the tub drain clogging up (but you must keep the filter clean!). Even with the somewhat longer cord, I still needed to use a heavy duty extension cord with a surge protector for added safety. I did not hook up to water since I'm using it in my bathtub, I just fill it with the desired water temperature and level using my handheld shower head and it works great! (It doesn't have automatic water levels so you have to manually fill it either way by turning the water on and off.) How it works: I have found it works best using only a few items at a time (example/2 lightweight cotton blend long sleeve shirts and 1 lightweight cotton sleeveless nightgown per load) and full tub of water. Soak cycle, then normal wash cycle. It does intermittent agitation that is rather strong (sometimes strong enough to tie items into a knot... lol) and it does get clothes clean. Move to drain cycle manually when wash cycle is over and it drains quickly and completely (IF you have the hose lower than the bottom of the washer). You can choose how many wash cycles you want to do by refilling and resetting the timer. I found the spin side works best when I only spin one item at a time (unless it is socks or underwear) and spins very fast and gets most all of the water out! Leave the setting on "drain" when using the spin side for best results (you can add clean water when spinning to help with the rinse). I found it easier to do the rinse in the washer side. After spinning items, I rinse the washer out first, then move timer off drain and onto normal cycle. Put items into washer and refill with water. Set to normal wash cycle to do a full rinse, then move to "drain" setting. Last put each item through a short spin cycle! Clothes are done! Hang them up to finish drying. I have found it best to then clean the filter in the washer and with the drain setting on, I use my handheld shower head to rinse out both sides so that the washer and spin basket stay clean and fresh, ready for next use. It looks nice. Easy to set up and use. It is not very loud at all (I use it right next to a shared wall of my apartment and my neighbor said he doesn't even hear it, he said I make more noise taking a shower/bath then the washing machine.. lol). So overall (so far, it has only been a few months) it works better than I had expected! I am very satisfied and would recommend. I haven't had to contact Customer Service so I can't address that part. If anything changes or fails I will update, otherwise no new update is good news and all is well! ... show more

  • I call mine "Jesus," for he is my savior
Color: Black
I've had mine for about 3 months and I absolutely LOVE this thing. no more trips to my parents' or the laundromat; I can finally do my laundry at home! takes some strength and to move it around when anything is in it, but otherwise it's rather light for being a whole washing machine and spinner. the best arrangement is having it set up in the tub on top of a large and stable container so the water drains out on it's own with gravity. I purchased a longer hose so I can fill it from the bathroom sink with ease. I usually throw 4 pairs of jeans and a couple sweaters in there and it does a great job getting them clean. pros: - small, portable; perfect for a small apartment or even if you went camping - super powerful for the small machine it is - spinner gets things pretty dry, but you'll have to air-dry them overnight. for jeans, it takes 2 nights of air-drying to get fully dry cons: - spinner is small and doesn't hold a lot (e.g. I can wash a blanket in the washer, but the spinner is too small for the same blanket, so I have to air-dry it in my shower) if you get this, just remember: it's light when empty, but very heavy when full! January 2025 update: Still love it. Had to replace the first one because of a defect I noticed after a year. I highly recommend the Asurion coverage thru Amazon. Asurion’s online refund system is was very user-friendly (last used summer 2024) and I very quickly received an Amazon gift card from them via email to replace the damaged original. ... show more

  • Works VERY well
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. This washer is FANTASTIC! No more trips to the laundromat (except for big sheets/items) Most everyone in the reviews I’ve noticed have all said they use in it the tub, and I agree it is the most effective (without needing to buy a bunch of other things) way. Definitely get a surge protector extension cord if you’re using it in the tub. I noticed people bought stools, but if you’re doing it in the tub, it works fine without them. Just ignore the tube for filling the washer, it won’t fit our American fixtures. I have a removable shower head so I just use that to fill it up. I’ve had a chance to really get to use this washer, and let me tell you what… it’s totally worth it! The apartment I’m in doesn’t have a washer or dryer hook up so I figured while it’s a little bit of an investment, you just can’t beat doing laundry in your own space. It is fairly portable; if you can pick up a big bag of dog food, you can lift this. It’s a little bulky to carry but it’s not bad at all. (As you can see, it’s not super tall or big, the product measurements are accurate) In a way it is time saving because you can do “full loads” in like 10-15mins if you want. I have found that you can fit quite a bit of things in the washer side. (I did one load of 3 pairs of jeans, and 4 leggings and 2 or 3 tank tops) I can fit at least 4or5 normal sized towels in there at once and they get cleaned sufficiently. I got some portable washer laundry pods and they work great, I would suggest if using pods at all, fill up part of the way with pod in and run washer for a couple minutes to pop it and sud up the water. The spinner side does require that you split your washing load, separating in thirds seems to work pretty well. Beware, the spinner side does sound like a generator starting up at first, but quickly dies down in volume. You can put a pair of jeans in there and after 10 minutes of spinning, your JEANS are like 90-95% dry! It can be incredibly efficient. 10/10 would recommend ... show more
