These are easy to use with rocker switches for volume and a switch for on/off. I’ve gotten my 95 yr old mom all sorts of Amazon aids but these are the best (and most expensive but not by a lot). We tried several of the insert, all in ear types but the mic was too close to the output side and they always were hard to keep from screeching in her ear especially when installing . With these, having the on/off switch you have the ability to leave it off until these are installed in ear but even if you aren’t adept enough to flip the switch when they are installed and do it beforehand they aren’t too bad for squeal and do even give a minute of time delay before actually turning on. Keeping from holding the behind ear unit with fingers on the end close to the mic will eliminate a lot of that. They will squeal when put back in the nice small charge box if not manually turned off like some types we’ve had which were auto on/off types from the charge box, which are actually probably the best type for her. I suppose you could burn these out by putting in the box W/o turning off and not paying attention as they would just sit there and squeal . So the switched vs auto types are a trade off I suppose. The rocker volume switches seem to be a much better way to do volume vs types that have a single button for everything and if you are still a bit sharp would be easy enough to function behind the ear. As it is with her I just pay attention if she acts like she can’t hear or it’s too loud and put them near my ear in hand and gently rub them to get a sense of where the volume is if she has pressed the volume by mistake when turning on etc.. Occasionally earwax can be the problem so they then need to be visually inspected and occasionally use the cleaning tools that come with, a magnifying lens may be handy for most here. The “flower” tips seem to be relatively non clogging anyway. Paying attention to keep ears cleaned and lubed will prevent most problems from the get-go. She can still use an ear swab so I put a little Vaseline “creamy” on one end letting her use the dry end first to remove wax and then the “creamy“ end to finish up with removing or covering some of the last sticky wax but even better lubricating the canal so insertion of the earpiece and removal are then quite easy and comfortable. We settled on the smallest silicone tip, the one that is like a delicate petaled flower which has a very light pressure in canal , very comfortable, best I’ve seen in all our previous ear pieces. Since the pickup mic is behind the ear, we have no squealing even with this non hermetic type tip which would never work with the all in ear type aid. It’s quite easy to insert with little pressure just by holding the tube. When I see she is having a bit of trouble pulling out the tip at bedtime , I know it’s time to right then do the ear cleaning and lube then she’s set to go to put them in herself come the morning. As near as I can tell these have a nice frequency response and clear sound for her and working very well indeed for her medium severe hearing loss even allowing her to easily hear my low, soft voice which has been very problematic for her. Working much better than a similar pair we got at an audiologist for 2 grand 10 or 12 years ago. With the crazy rapid advances in technology now and at 300 bucks, why not get a new pair every few years ?! Sure beats the daylights out of the pricey alternatives out there ! ... show more

I have had 78% hearing loss since 1967 and have had many hearing aids over the years, some costing $6k. These Hearing Aids from Banglijian are the best OTC's I have ever had. Best features: 1. Form factor small enough to fit behind the ear very well. 2. Volume is loud enough to compensate for my severe hearing loss. 3. Audio quality is the best I have ever had in a OTC. 4. The rechargeable aids with a portable travel charging case is a super plus. 5. All of the above for a remarkable price. Hearing Aids do not last for ever (not even the $6K ones). This is my second Bangilian hearing device. My dog chewed up a previous model 206 which also worked well; she previously chewed up a $2500 Oticon hearing aid, so I did not want to keep spending that kind of money. This model is even better.The RIC receiver gives very little feedback,but you must change the supplied filters when they get plugged with ear eax.The charging box keeps them charged;I can wear them all day without the need to recharge. The sound is pretty good; I think there are 9 or 10 volume adjustments. The sound is pretty good;the lowest setting is good for me. There are three steps of noise reduction that I can't hear making much difference; they are fairly small...smaller than my 206 amplifier. No Bluetooth so you can't stream music or answer the cell phone with these. When received,the box was missing a couple minor accessories.I contacted Bangilian by the internet address they gave me and received an immediate return response;I received the two little parts I needed in two days. Excellent customer service....The instruction manual is actually written in pretty good english,which is the exception for most of the other China based manuals I have read All in all a very good product at a reasonable price. I will revisit this review in six months or so to describe how they held up over time. 05/19/24: After wearing the devices awhile I am lessd impressed. The lowest setting for me is too loud and the sound quality is unbalanced and can be somewhat irritating when wearing them for awhile; unfortunately there is no way to adjust the frequency range for individual needs,but they are not $5000.00. I am going to reduce my rating to 4 stars as they are still pretty good for the price. ... show more

I had a pair of hearing aids cost me $4000.00 I had a lot trouble with them and the sound wasn't all that great. These are easier to use, the sound is great I can even the birds chirping. I wish the sound tube connection was a little stronger but it still works great. I couldn't be happier with these. If they stop working it still cheaper to buy a new set than have them repaired. I am going to find out about the warranty right now since I broker the sound tube wire. ... show more

Nothing is noted in specifications about not being able to use with telephones! You have to use the speaker phone function for communication by phone! At any volume setting above 5 induces terrible feedback screeching, regardless of size or style of speaker domes. Also the charging cable is way too short to provide convenient use of charger using a counter top plug in system! ... show more

Like the RIC feature. It's the same as my wife's $6,000 pair. These have the best noise cancelation of any cheap o hearing aids/amplifier I have tried. There are 3 levels of cancelation 1 beep is the least and 3 beeps the most. Riding in the truck and listening to the radio I choose 3 beeps. That deadens a lot of the road noise and I can hear the radio without having it turned up so loud it hurts other's ears. Around the house I keep them on 2 beeps. That seems about right for conversations and watching TV. The human voice and the TV are pretty understandable. I have been wearing them every day since I received them about a week ago.
