I bought this for my 17 year old son for school. He has destroyed everything backpack I’ve ever gotten him. They just do not hold up. Even the higher end expensive bags have quality issues. But not this- at least not so far. We are more than halfway through the school year and there is no sign of seam, zipper or strap fatigue. It is holding up really well and he puts a laptop, portable monitor and books on this thing. Bonus is how super sleek and modern it looks. He loves it and it just make it to college next year. Just got the bag, so I can’t yet speak to how well it holds up or quality of build. However, I’ll share my initial impression. I’m using this to commute to the office. I wanted a nice looking backpack (looks professional) that provides good functionality, adequate size for daily trip to office. It look good, is streamline, and appears quality built. It is just a bit on the small size. Most bags can fit a whole lot more. I’m not sure if it will fit my lunch bag. It doesn’t expand and it is rigid. It’s not very functional. Not much thought put into pocket design or placement. Most of the pockets aren’t very usable. I think I will need to get a little more functional bag to fit into the main compartment. The lock secures the main compartment, not the laptop or where you would store the expensive, data rich stuff you would really want to protect. Love this backpack, I first used the backpack for a trip to Spain and it performed flawlessly. The zipper locks were easy to set and worked with no issues. I bought this bag for international travel and boy did I regret getting it. I didn't find it functional at all, and it ruined a big portion of my trip. LIKE: - Color - Laptop compartment is spacious and the laptop felt snug. DISKLIKE: - The shell/exterior is too rigid and it makes it hard to manipulate the backpack. The only way to move it is by holding on to the straps or handle. Picture yourself entering the airplane and you're carrying this on your back. You get it on one shoulder only and you try to get it in front of you as you enter the airplane (limited space) - it's nearly impossible. It's soo rigid/hard that you can't move it. - Because of the hard shell, it was very difficult to fit the backpack under the airplane seat. If the seat in front of you has foot rest, you're better off putting it up on the overhead compartment. - The cables are slow charging, so it was more convenient to connect my phone directly into my portable charger than to use the bag. It became annoying, quickly because it was such a waste of space. - I thought that a space for a bottle wasn't necessary, but I was wrong. I missed it so much. - It lacks a chest clip, so it's not very ergonomic/comfortable. - The pocket to attach this to a luggage was clunky and tough to fit, but at least it was there. - The compartments inside had an odd size and most things fell off.
