I will be making paper stars/snowflakes from these bags and quite a bit of cutting and expansion of the bag is required. I assumed these would be similar in thickness to a regular paper lunch bag. I am using these bags as scrap catcher bags for a sewing retreat. I like the sturdiness of the bags, plus the polka dots give a playful vibe. I can roll back the top edge about 3/4 of an inch and the bags can stand up beside the sewing machine or be taped to the sewing table for easy access. The bags I purchased last year were plain white, and they ripped very easily, defeating their purpose of keeping the sewing area neat and tidy.
