Description

Menthol is a compound obtained from Peppermint Oil. The anti-fungul and anti- bacteria action of Menthol has been studied extensively. Menthol Crystals finds diverse applications because of its characteristic aroma, flavor, and its cooling effect. Menthol Crystals can be used in perfumes, cosmetics, analgesic balms, lotions, creams, shampoos and conditioners. Recommended usage level is 0.5 - 8 %. NOTE: Menthol crystals must pass through the Phoenix, AZ postal system, where temperatures easily exceed 100 degrees F in summer months. Your crystals may show up melted. You can place them in your fridge and lightly hit them with a rubber mallet. Please do not order if this is a problem for you.

Good quality for price. I just wish there was a little more product for the price since I go through a lot of it. They do sell a larger bag but I’ve found a 4oz, 8oz & 16oz by another company that’s several dollars less, the shipping time is a little longer though. I make a lotion and muscle salve using this, a very strong EO blend, habanero pepper infused oil blend and the other ingredients needed to make lotion/salves along with a preservative. I use crushed menthol crystals at 19% in both to make it strong enough to take the edge off muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders. I’m not sure if it’s more the capsaicin, EO blend or menthol crystals. I do know that it works better with the crystals at 19% vs the 2%-8% that many web sites recommend and a very strong pepper infusion vs a lighter infusion. This does burn a touch and may cause chemical burns in some people, so I don’t recommend using at this rate unless you work your way up to it. Even then it should be tested on a small area that’s easy to quickly wash off with soap and water. I also make a CP soap with a very small amount of menthol crystals that’s great for summer use! (WARNING: Do NOT use on face or genitalia). These crystals dissolve and mix in very easily after they’ve been crushed and stirred in while the soap batter is at 110*F or so. I highly recommend giving this a try if you make CP soaps. No extra scent is needed, the menthol gives off a nice smell during use, unless you like a strong scent. I highly recommend trying menthol crystals in muscle creams, shower vapor tabs, soaps and just to breath in when you have a stuffy nose.     • Perfect, make any vape juice menthol
For all you vapers out there, this stuff is perfect. You can make your own juice with it or add it to other premade juice. I added it to a premade non menthol juice and it did exactly what I was hoping for. One medium sized crystal in a 100 ml bottle added the perfect if not a little too much menthol, and there are hundreds if not a thousand crystals in this 4 oz bag. It will last forever. Make sure to put it in a very sweet juice because it is a little bitter. It doesn't really have a taste but it will change the flavor profile a little. My 'heavy/dark' sweet juice became much lighter. I advise weighing out your menthol, experimenting with different amounts to find your sweet spot. Too much and you will ruin your juice. This stuff with burn your throat and mouth if you add too much. ... show more

    • First Time User-Not Sure If I Got What Should Be Expected Or I Expected Too Much
I've got mixed feelings about these menthol crystals. I'm a first time user so have nothing to compare to. I've read in menthol crystal review that you need to use them sparingly and to ease into the amount you want for your desired strength. I got these to mix with coconut oil and and a few other ingredients to make a homemade pain cream for my knees. The first small batch I made I only used one decent size crystal. The crystals in this bag really vary in size from pretty big to almost powder. That got me nothing so the next small batch I used a heaping teaspoon full of the smaller crystals. The smell was pretty strong when I added it to warmed oil so I thought I'd get good results...ie: that warm feeling you get from applying menthol cream/ointment. Nope. No warm menthol feeling when applying the finished cream and even the menthol smell had dissipated. I'm taking a break for now. I may try one more batch and use a lot more menthol but I want to do some reading first to make sure how much is too much to add. Right now I wouldn't buy this again and it might even discourage me from trying to make my own menthol pain cream/ointment. ... show more

I bought this product for my diy shower bombs. I was intimidated at first... Got over that feeling real quick! Easy to crush into powder so it can dissolve easily with my essential oils.
