  • Good value for the money. Few minor issues with directions though.
I read many of the reviews on multiple play sets before purchasing this one. Overall, this play set appears to be good quality and durable. Obviously, I have only had it for a short time, so I am only giving it four stars. The set came in three different boxes. It is definitely easier to put together if you open up all of the boxes and lay out the pieces in the yard. The cedar wood smells and looks amazing. It does seem flimsy when putting it together because it is such a light wood. You do have to be careful not to over tighten or be too forceful, as it will cause the wood to crack. Once it was all together though, it is quite sturdy. The instructions were overall easy to understand. Some of the diagrams in the manual could have been better though. It took some time to figure out the exact way some parts were meant to go because of the instructions. The biggest problem we had, and other reviews mention this, is the fact the parts and boards are very poorly labeled. The labels are not stickers like most products. Instead, they boards and parts are labeled by stencil. So part number “B5” has B5 noted on it in ink. This is great because it will come off once the play set is set up. Basically, it would quickly wash off during rain and fade in sunlight. It is not great for when you are trying to build the play set. Just with in the time it took the play set to get shipped to me, plus sitting in the boxes for three days at my home, the markings were worn off on at least half of the parts and pieces. This caused the build to take a lot longer than expected. In the end, decent play set for the money. With the few problems I mentioned, it took three of us about 10 hours (to include breaks) to completely put together. ... show more

  • Kids love it
The kids love it! Took about 18 hours to build with one adult doing the majority of work and another adult helping. Some wood cracked during building, but overall everything turned out well.

  • Very cheap
We got this for our grandkids as a special surprise. Wood is very thin and cracks/splits easily. Definitely not worth the price we paid. When putting up the roof we were afraid our foot would go through the structure. Slide is flimsy plastic that you have to try to fit in between two other molded pieces. Directions were not clear. Took 8 hrs to put up!! Looks cute once up but not sure it'll last more than a few years. ... show more

  • Cheap materials
The amount of times the wood splintered while putting it together was astronomical and concerning. These are only a few pictures of the areas that it’s splintered. Instructions are unclear. A lot of the pieces didn’t fit together and had to be trimmed down to be used. I’m so disappointed and dissatisfied with this purchase. It was a Christmas present for my kids and I’m worried it won’t last the year ... show more

  • Wood kept breaking/need extra tools- bolts
(4) different pieces of wood kept splitting. One broke so badly- luckily my husband knows how to cut a new piece- even though it didn’t match (color wise). The planks didn’t all fit correctly- had to trim one down. We were missing bolts. Ones short and others with lots of extras. Didn’t realize it wasn’t an actual slide. Took (3) of us, to get it in the slots. The stamped numbers on the pieces were inside and outside of the wood. I’d prefer them all inside. The directions were confusing in some parts. Overall, it’s a great play set for price. If it wasn’t for my husband being able to fix stuff or cut new pieces- we would have returned it. ... show more

  • Overall, I recommend
The assembly process was more difficult than I would’ve liked. It is a MUST to download the BILT app for install. If you are trying to build this using the black and white instruction manual, you’re in for a headache. The BILT app gives step by step instructions, in color. You can zoom in to get a closer look at the pieces and hole orientation. It was truly a lifesaver. You need two people, in my opinion. One reading the instructions and locating pieces and the other doing the assembly. The boards themselves are def flimsy (we had a few splinter already); however once put together, it’s actually study. The wood will split if you drill too deep or hard. We anchored it down and it doesn’t budge. We live in a very windy area, so we also anchored down the slide just in case. Many of the boards weren’t labeled, which was a headache. There are these tiny little pilot holes on the sides of some of the boards so you have to be careful during assembly to make sure you put it on the right side to avoid having to drill your own pilot holes (which we had to do for a few pieces—- once we realized it, we paid more attention to the other pieces so we didn’t have this problem). We need to get a few replacement pieces for a couple pieces that have cracks, but we can replace them at a later time (the cracked pieces didn’t halt our assembly and the set is still sturdy... just want to go ahead and get the replacements now just in case it gets worse after continued use). Overall, the kids really like it. I’ve bought some things and added them to the playset, like a chalkboard, kitchen utensils, a dinner bell, and a megaphone. ... show more

  • Fun!!
This play set is so much fun!! We love the little kitchen and that the upstairs can be turned into a fort or a castle. It took a full day (8 hours) plus 2 hours the next day for my husband to put together with power tools- the slide was probably the hardest to put together because of the way you have to bend it to fit into the grooves- I ended up helping with the slide and it was much easier with 2 people. Our daughter loves it and it has been used every day since we put it together about a month ago!! ... show more
