I used to have a hammock style to fit between the front and backseat of my jeep for my dogs. I have sensed traded in my jeep for a dodge ram. The backseat is huge, and I need some thing that my dogs can sit on, secure and won’t be thrown into the front seat if I need to hit my brakes. So far this seems to be sturdy and they enjoy it because they can look out the windows. It comes in a very nice zippered carry case, so while it’s not in use I can store under the seats. Although there was an initial strong odor, the smell abated after several days of use. It worked perfectly for our 5 hour drives with aour 45 lb dog, amazed at the overall structural integrity of a full size barrier that folds up so easily for ease of portability.

I've only had this for a week so keep that in mind. Pros: easy to set up, very sturdy (so far), pockets viewing is great. Came with seat belts for dogs, easy to put on top of seat belt plug ins so it's comfortable for dogs. Has pockets for storage. Looks to be decent quality. Holds the weight of both dogs without give under their weight. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 9. Cons: definitely measure from the most extended part of your car door!!!! I measured where I thought the board would sit and it turns out it's not actually where it sits so it makes closing my door hard. It fits my car but I had to really wedge it in and I have to slam my door. This is not for a car with a short back seat. This is to deep and wide for my husband car. It gets a little warm. dog slides around a little on the smooth fabric but enough though to be concerned. The dog seatbelt is just an attachment belt.. You will need to get a harness if your dog doesn't already use one for the seat belt. Our dogs wear martingale collars for their walk bc they refuse to wear a harnesses so I ordered specialty car harnesses. Facts that may be helpful. - Dogs weigh 38 pnds and 54 pounds. - fits my car: I drive a fiat 500i (their crv version) - does not fit my husband car. Mini cooper countryman (their larger 4 door car). Very happy with this! Great quality and very easy to install. The hard bottom feels very secure and does what it’s supposed to do. It did come with a smell to it that I noticed as soon as I opened the box, but I’m hoping it will air out and go away. I have a Toyota Corolla and it fit perfect.

I love the way it fits and the hard bottom is awesome. My only disappointment is that on the first ride with my dog (Australian Shepard mix) the mesh ripped. Put his paw right threw it.
