I bought this flat iron after I saw my hair stylist using it on me. I asked her where I could find it and she told me that I could only find it at the best beauty supply stores for about $200, and even THEN I would have to have a professional license to purchase it! So when I found it on Amazon for 60 sum dollars, I was amazed. By the time I bought it, the lowest price was $77 (still a huge steal compared to what the hair stylist told me). I got it in about 5 days and used it right away. Unlike my old flat iron, this one had really long plates, so I could straighten more hair and faster. And because the heat goes all the way to the outside edges, I could curl my hair. Also, my old flat iron used to snag my hair at the edges of the plates, but because this one has such huge plates, it wasn't a problem (and neither was getting used to longer plates- didn't burn myself once). This thing saves a lot of time too! It heats up all the way in less than 30 seconds. And it goes up to 450 degrees with 50 heat settings, so it's gentle enough to use on my mom's soft hair and tough enough to use on my thick coarse hair. I used to think that ceramic was the way to go, but after purchasing this flat iron, I found out that titanium is easier to take care of and conducts heat better. The one downside is the slight smell of burning plastic it gives off the first few times you use it, but it should go away rather quickly. The benefits in this case definitely outweigh the initial odor. I'm so glad I bought this. And I can't believe that I bought a flat iron and a curler that works on all types of hair for only $77! It was such a great investment. I can use this when I do my hair, my sisters' hair, and my mom's hair. If you're hesitating to buy a $77 flat iron instead of buying one at a grocery store for cheap- DON'T. It will more than pay itself off, considering the saved trips to the salon. I do my hair, my mom's hair, and my two sisters' hair, so this is saving us LOTS of time and money (and the fact that it works on all our different types of hair is amazing). I bought this when I mistakenly thought my other straightener was broken (don't ask). I realized that my other one wasn't broken, but when I received this, I kept it anyway because the blades are so thin. I can get right up to my scalp for super straight hair. You can't use this as a hybrid curling iron because of that, but if you want a straightening iron, this is the one. Note: it is not an auto off. I think it's because it's for professional use. My hair stylist use this flat iron and my hair always look so shiny and silky. Once I saw this on Amazon to get 2 for the price of 1, I jumped on it, thinking it was an error. Best purchase, the iron is amazing, better than ones I have. I recommend to get this one.

This is the best flat iron I have ever used! My hairstylist has this flat iron. I could not believe how quickly she could straighten my hair. My hair is naturally very thick, wavy with a little curl, and past my shoulders. Anyway, I was looking for a good flat iron to replace my ceramic Jilbere flat iron. It was taking me forever to straighten my hair, and I was easily getting split ends when I used it. I had researched the Instyler but found a lot of mixed reviews. Plus- I still have a scar on my arm from when my friend's Instyler burned me. Ouch! Plus- it was pretty expensive. My hairstylist always talked about how her Babyliss cost around $150. I could never bring myself to pay that much for a flat iron. Thank God for Amazon! I got the Babyliss 1 inch for $68.00! I could not believe it! I received this 3 days before the estimated delivery date. It was amazing. I straightened my hair in about 15 minutes. Usually it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to do my hair. I think it took me about 15 minutes because I was trying to figure out the right heat setting to use. I love how wide the plates are. My hair doesn't fall out, and I can take thicker sections. My hair looks so shiny! In one or two swipes my hair was smooth and silky. My hair stayed straight for two days afterwards. I had to touch it up (which took about 3 or 4 minutes) but only because I took a bath and got my hair alittle wet in some places. I also curled my daughter's hair in about 2 minutes. The curls came out beautiful and were very easy to do. Her hair is straight and very fine. I am so happy that I have a salon-quality flat iron that comes with a 4 year warranty.
