I was looking for size inclusivity, comfort, multipurpose use. The Tula hip belt extends 57”, holds up to 45 pounds, very lightweight, with additional padding on the shoulders and waistband for comfort. With this carrier I’m able to front face in carry, forward face carry and backpack style! The whole process takes less than maybe 5 minutes and making sure all straps are secured and baby is comfortable. Being a plus size mom the Tula has been such a great investment for me and my baby, I don’t have any complaints with this carrier! I love how this carrier is thick, easy to wear, cute, comfortable. I had a cheap infatino carrier and it hurted my baby's leg and he didn't like to stay long on it. Baby Tula is comfortable for him, he doesn't mind being there. I took him for grocery shopping face forwarding for the first time (he is 1y old now) and he loved it. He didn't cry. BEST CARRIER! I looked around for carriers for over 5 months before having my daughter. I looked up numerous reviews, stores and ask for so many opinions, I just couldn't pick one. Then I came across this one. I loved the design of it and what it had to offer. I was nervous because I didn't use one with my son. I figured a carrier would be best because I'm always on my feet. When I purchased the Tula Explore carrier, I couldn't wait to try it on! Let's just say in the beginning my daughter wasn't the biggest fan of it which let me down because I was excited to use the carrier and still be able to do all the things I did before. Now, every baby can be different she was just a stubborn one lol She is now 6 months old and loves it! Football games, shopping and even taking walks, you name it she enjoys it. I am really liking the Tula Explore! The print is very cute. I also ordered a Lillebaby but sent it back - it wasn’t big enough for my husband to also wear and it was so bulky and heavy. The Tula feels much lighter and more comfortable. My 7 week old really enjoys when we go outside and walk around using this carrier. I think she will love it even more once we can carry front-facing because she’s extremely curious and likes to look around. It’s easy to put on and take off, which is great! My only small complaint which I think is probably due to me not wearing it completely correctly, is that the shoulder straps don’t sit flush against my chest and shoulders so it the straps kind of get in the way of her looking sideways. She’s 23.5 inches now but I think when she’s a little taller this will be fixed. (Or like I said I might not be tightening a strap somewhere correctly.) Overall though I like this a lot and my baby seems to like being upright a lot due to her reflux so this has been great for us! ... show more

I absolutely love this carrier. I was looking at a Tula carrier two years ago after my son was born but I chose not to because at the time the Tula was unable to be used forward facing. I just had my second child and started using the baby bjorn I got for my son but I hated how I couldn't breastfeed in it. Once I learned the new Tula Explore could forward face I jumped on it (my son would ONLY forward face so this was a must)! I've only had it for a few days but I love it. My 6 week old daughter goes to sleep in it almost right away. It is the only way I have been able to survive a newborn and a toddler for sure! It is so nice not having to buy an extra infant insert and struggle with that. I watched 2-3 youtube videos on how to get the Tula on and off (which I highly recommend doing) and it made so easy! My son loves to face out and see things for short bursts of time, and my old tula only allowed me to face him towards me. I tried other carriers that allowed forward facing, but they either didn't offer enough support (infantino) as he got bigger, or felt too large and bulky on me (lillebaby). The tula explore has been a perfect middle ground. I also love how easy it is to move from froward facing to facing in. just a quick move of the buttons. Much easier to manage than the lillebaby which requires you to completely remove the carrier in order to change positions. I don't feel we get too hot, even in the fl August heat, and my back has survived upwards of 4-5 hours of continuous carrying with no issues. I definitely recommend this product, and will likely buy one of the mesh versions when they release them next year too! ... show more

This baby carrier is the absolute best. I’ve bought every carrier under the sun, moby wrap (a pain to get on quickly, especially when we’re out and about), ring sling (my son seemed uncomfortable in this one), standard Tula with infant insert (I’m sure it’s awesome without the insert and I look forward to using it when he’s bigger but the infant insert is annoying to use!) This carrier was a last ditch effort to make baby wearing a every day solution to my clingy little guy. This carrier delivered, it is easy to get in and out of!
