This child safety lock is functional and adjustable. I was surprised that it worked on the toilet bowl since the bowl itself is slightly curved. It’s easy to install, you just pick a spot, make sure you have enough slack or adjust accordingly before locking in the length, cut the excess and stick it on. We’ve used this for the toilet bowl, diaper genie, and the trash can. It’s come in handy and works as described. It sticks very well, if you follow the instructions and use the alcohol pads to make sure the surface is clean and dry before applying. Great value for the money and stands up to our curious little one picking at it and hitting it with toys. I recommend this product. ... show more

Installed these to keep my granddaughter out of cabinets. Wanted to protect her from items that could hurt her. I purchased these based on reviews and number of sold. They arrived on time, was super easy to install and work perfect. She is unable to access the cabinets but they are easy to open when we need to. I just hope when I go to remove them one day they do not damage the wood, we will see on this one. But I love that I know my granddaughter is safe and cabinets are still easy to open for us. Perfect locks and the design they can be used on different items or side cabinets. I also installed one on a hutch door and the strap was long enough to go from door to shelf so the cabinet can be secure. My granddaughter came over and was not happy she couldn't get into all my stuff LOL ... show more

We keep their dry food in this lovely steel farmhouse-style container, but in spite of the tight-fitting lid, they were able to break into it on the first night. I immediately thought of getting this type of child lock — we used them on the cabinets at the daycare I used to work at (read: I already know how to open them with my dumb adult fingers). Lo and behold, they work fantastically. They are small and don’t get in the way aesthetically at all IMHO, inexpensive, versatile, and “complex” enough to keep the cats out of their kibble tub & push-to-open IKEA cabinet in which we keep their wet food (until they use teamwork to beat the system again). They’re strong enough that I can lift the tub up by the handle with 13lbs of food inside and the locks hold just fine. Recommended! ... show more
