I do love this nail filer. I use it for my self and my four month old son. We started using it when he was three months. I like that it has different setting/accessories for babies and adults. The only reasons I would give it 4 1/2 stars instead of 5 is because the light is not very useful because it ends up being behind the attachment. So you are still unable to see their fingers when it’s dark. Also, it’s not very loud but it’s not quiet enough to use when they are sleeping. Unless your child is a really heavy sleeper or you have some noise on the background. I just file my son’s nails while he is awake because of this and he doesn’t mind it. I was so nervous to cut my daughter’s nails with traditional nail clippers, so when I saw this product I knew I had to give it a try! I absolutely love how safe this product is to use. Even if my daughter is moving while I am trying to cut her nails, I do not need to worry about hurting her. This product does not hurt at all even if it touches skin. I also love that it comes with different levels of grinding heads, just make sure you use the lightest one and baby will not get hurt! I have two older children and just had twins. Nail care was always a struggle with the older kids and I took our lives into my hands trying to use baby nail clippers to keep them trim. They were still sharp after trimming. Enter the baby rotary nail file. This thing is amazing. The filing discs have enough grit to file baby's nails, but are gentle enough that they don't even phase the baby if you bump their skin. I have used it both with babies awake and asleep and they didn't notice a bit. The little headlight seemed silly, but it makes filing during late night feeding sessions very convenient. And it's crazy quiet to boot. I have a doggy dremel for my dogs nails and was worried it would be on that noise level. Nope, you barely hear it. This might become my new go to shower gift. Almost caught on fire! I cut one nail on my baby and started smelling something then noticed the handle was really HOT so I opened it up and saw this! We’ve had another similar nail set and I know how to properly put in the batteries (not old batteries) but WOW this was scary!

This is really a life saver! My baby’s nails get so long so quick and she hates the nail clippers! I also didn’t want to hurt her so when i found this nail file i was so happy. She actually is intrigued by it and not scared, so it has saved the day! The only thing is it’s loud, even when it’s on the lowest mode. So i can only do it when she’s awake or it will wake her up.
