This item is not imitation wood, it's plastic. There is no way to tighten it to the crib, either. That said, I have tried to bend it forward (without breaking it) and see if it'll come off and it has not. When my baby is able to grab and mobile and pull I will NOT be using this mobile arm as it will likely break. I'm disappointed because the color is perfect for what I need. ... show more

Easy quick assembly. Parts were not flush with one another leaving the stand off center. Sturdiness is not great. Do like music box attachment.
