This stuff is great!!! I had been using this brand's foam tanner for awhile now, but it smells TERRIBLE and also dries my skin out. This gel stuff has a much lighter and far more pleasant smell, and it glides on the skin so smoothly! You get that perfect golden bronzed glowy natural look, not orange. It is tricky making sure you don't miss a spot since it goes on clear, but I haven't had too many issues there. Just be mindful of that though when applying. But this stuff is great and doesn't dry out my skin! It also fades much more gradually and naturally than other tanners I've used. This brand's foam tanners just look splotchy after 5-7 days where as this stuff fades gradually so you don't get as much splotchiness. Overall, this is easily the BEST self-tanner I have ever used! I've been using various tanners lately to prep for my upcoming wedding because I burn every time I go outside. I've used different variations of jergens, and other brands, which I really like. But I don't love them. This is my first time using b. tan. And I love this gel! At first, it has a weird smell but once you apply it to your skin, it gives the beloved self tanner smell that I'm obsessed with. I've applied it three times since I got it. It's an amazing color. Easy to put on especially if you have a mitt. You might think that you don't need to prep your ankles, knees, wrists, hands and elbows. I'm here to tell you you do. I should have known better. With all my experience with different tanning lotions, I should have been more careful. But my hands look good, even with extra tanner in the creases. Definitely wash your hands afterwards even if you're using a mat. I realized that I need to update my mitt now because it's very thin. I missed some spots on my feet, as you can see in the 2nd to last picture that makes my foot look like a hoof instead. But that's fixable. This is easy to apply, but the only reason I'm giving it four stars is I had to use a lot. I mean, a lot. (I'm 5'3" 150lbs for reference). The final picture of the bottle is after only three uses.     • Easy to use but not perfect

This product works pretty well until the first wash in my experience. I'm very pale and wanted just a little color for the summer so I gave this several tries over the last few months. Here's what I found. Pros: •Very easy to apply (highly recommend the mitt) •Dries fast and isn't as uncomfortable to apply as lotion •The color did look very nice on my pale skin and gave me a huge confidence boost (except for the face, I had to buy the shade lighter to not look orange but that worked perfect.) •Will be pretty even the first day/two •The bottle/pump is nice (and just looks cute) and will last several tanning sessions. Cons: •I could never get it to look right on my hands/feet. I tried several times w/ and w/o moisturizers. It got very dark around the edges of my feet and between toes even with exfoliation. •The tan seems to wash off the shins really quick and it's almost like it slides down and makes my ankles darker instead? •It does START off smelling really nice but it quickly turns into a weird smell once mixed with body chemistry. Not terrible except for maybe in armpits/where you sweat. I stopped doing armpits to avoid that smell. Small complaints: •I really wish it lasted a little longer but it only lasted a couple days on a beach vacation when I needed it most. •The mitt they included was kind of cheap and got a small tear somewhere in the lining almost immediately and now it gets wet inside too which isn't ideal. Overall it is easy to use and my preferred way to get a little color right now, but with the imperfections and short tan life I don't bother with using it except for on rare occasions now. ... show more
