It's lightweight, easy to move, and it does exactly what it's supposed to. Very easy to assemble. A couple screws and bam, done. Took me 5 mins. It is sturdy, and very stable. But DO NOT stand on it. This was easy to put together. All the holes lined up for me. It’s important to not tighten them until you get all the screws in. The material is real (very lightweight) wood. But it is VERY ROUGH. And doesn’t appear to have a waterproof seal over it. If you don’t want to get splinters in your feet, I would suggest sanding it. I’m also adding a few coats of Polycrylic so it’s waterproof and easy to clean (especially if your house has any boys or guys 🤦🏼♀️) So (on sale) for $10 it’s a nice price but you have to put in extra work to make it work well. ... show more

I was nervous after reading the reviews on the assembly because I’m not that crafty but honestly it took me 5 minutes! I made sure to sit on the floor but a table top would make sure it’s balanced too. When you’re putting the top screws in it’s just important to keep in mind you want to fit all of the screws a bit then screw them in bits at a time. For example: place all four loosely, screw top right a few rounds, bottom right, top left, bottom left. I went around a few times to ensure balance as it all screwed into place and it worked just fine. Again, 5 minutes! The stool itself is VERY supportive. It does have a faint smoky smell but it’s actually one I love, cause who doesn’t like the nostalgia of campfires? You can only smell it if you put your nose to it so maybe don’t do that if you don’t like that smell?? lol. Love this stool, I bought two more. One for my mom and one for my kids. Definitely worth the great price!! ... show more

You get what you pay for. It looked nice but attempting to put it together was awful! The screws supplied fit the Allen also supplied…how ever when you try to screw them in the won’t go and the screws end up getting stripped. I would never recommend this product!

I love the price best. Couldn’t bring myself to spend what the squatty brand wants, but this is a good alternative. I got the dark wood color and it looks fine. It was easy to assemble. I’d recommend putting some sort of sealer or varnish on before using though. The wood is lightweight and likely porous. ... show more
