This is a quality product with a nice look. For the average sized person, it's very sturdy and the seat cushion is comfortable whether you're sitting or kneeling. The bench legs came folded down and were extremely difficult to pull out, to the point that I was concerned I was breaking it. I didn't receive any instructions so I don't know if that was the correct thing to do, but I did force them out and they're not moving easily so they're probably not ever getting folded back down! I'd prefer easy folding and unfolding so this item lost a star for that. The cushion is easy to put on and remove, as it attaches underneath using two Velcro strips. The canvas bag for the side is well made and the two pockets are perfect for holding gardening gloves or a small handheld shovel, or any other small tools you might use. I've been thinking of trying one of these combination seats/kneelers for some time now and I finally did. This seat/kneeler is just the ticket for more comfortable gardening! There is nothing to assemble - just unbox it and unfold it. Now that sounds easy, but it does take a bit to unfold it the first time. I think the paint that's applied makes it hard to unfold the first time. I held one of the side supports and stepped on the wooded seat and pulled - worked fine. The side supports lock in with a reassuring "click". I did add a drop of oil to the pivot points when I folded it back up. I had no trouble folding it back up. This is something that will loosen up over time I am sure. Now to go over some of the features. The Bamboo Seat - Very smooth and very strong. Nice! The Tool Holder - That just slips over one of the side supports and is very handy. It fits whether you are using it as a kneeler or as a seat. The Cushion - Just the right firmness! You need a cushion that has some give to it, but not too much - this fits that bill. The Cushion Cover - I put a picture of that in the review. Please notice the zipper, so that you can remove the cover, wash it, and put it back on. It's going to get dirty using it in the garden, so how nice that it can be washed! And you'll see in the picture that it simply fastens on with Velcro. Lastly, I'll be using this mostly as a kneeler. In the past I've been kneeling on two medium size kneeling pads - that works pretty well. But, getting up is another thing! I love the side pieces that can be used to boost yourself up. Those are just a delight. For anyone who spends time in the garden this will make your work there so much easier and more pleasant! ... show more

These are great for people with knee or back problems. Not only can you use it to kneel down to work on things closer to ground level but you can flip it over and have a seat on the other side. The pouch keeps things right there at your fingertips. Have an elderly parent that still likes to get out and do things? They can kneel and have the legs to assist themselves back up. I like that you can use this garden kneeler in two ways. The knee pad is attached with Velcro that you can detach and use on the low kneeler or the higher garden seat. This is so easy to assemble and feels very secure to sit or kneel on. When you use it in the kneel position it is very handy to have the two sides to hold onto as you rise from the kneeler. When potting plants, the sitting position works very well. The apron that fits on the side of the kneeler for your gardening tools is an additional feature that I like a lot. I am a Master Home Gardener and spend hours in my garden tending plants in raised beds and in the bare ground. My knees are not what they used to be and take a beating when spending a lot of time kneeling. I also needed a seat that was the appropriate height for tasks where kneeling would be too low. This dual kneeler and garden seat is a great and innovative design that provides for a comfortable and cushioned kneeling height, as well as a higher seat when inverted. The seat is well-built and robust. It folds flat for easy storage and a tool pouch is included and hangs over one side for easy reach of needed gardening implements. It is simple yet highly effective and functional. The materials used in construction are excellent and should last indefinitely. The seat is made of Bamboo, and the set includes a thick cushion that fits as a seat or kneeler. Easy to carry out to the garden and then store without much space.
