It was easy to assemble but we had several cosmetic defects similar to other reviews. There is an area the paint looks “drippy” and the decorative legs on the bottom came bent. Still completely usable just seems to be a common quality issue.

Axeman 5-Tier Ladder Shelf is easy to assemble and attach to the wall. I assembled this during my morning coffee. Once it’s assembled, it’s easy to place up against the wall and mark where the holes are for pilot holes. There is a manufacturing defect or damage that was done prior to shipping. Packaging was secure, but one of bottoms of the feet of the shelves is bent or unfinished and missing paint. It’s not noticeable unless it’s pointed out and a furniture coaster solves this issue temporarily. The rest of the shelf is nice-looking and is a good fit for smaller places. It looks modern and stylish. I think the price could be more competitive, though. All things considered, this is a nice wall shelf, but since it was damaged *not from shipping*, I’m removing a star for a total rating of 4 stars. ... show more

I ordered the gold with black shelves and found it to be sturdy and was of great quality. Thinking of reordering it in white for my bedroom.
