this radio is pretty damn good. it come with the tools you need to do the install and it’s not a seriously hard install.. tons of videos on yt because this kit doesn’t include directions.. if you have dual AC you don’t want to use the green AC cable it comes with but if you have single AC then use it… total install time for me was about 35 mins.. as i’m someone who actually works on cars for a living i’d say for the average person it could take around an hour and a half to two hours. for the most part everything works to a tee.. some small little things i haven’t figured out how to fix yet are when i go to use apple maps and the voice goes off for the directions the music completely stops.. opening and closing some apps make it glitch for a small second.. nothing to be worried about though, this radio is amazing. yt, netflix, google, carplay, android, and a ton more.. for this price this is the best radio for the honda accord.. mine personally was an 06 EX sedan v6. all the parts matched up and i didn’t have to do any trimming or cutting.. perfect fit all the way round.. before buying this i searched for over a week trying to find the best radio for my car and if you got an accord then this is the best out there. ... show more

The unit is a great value for the price and functions fairly well. The touchscreen is not super responsive. Seems to work better with a slower more deliberate touch. The display is not bad and is very large. The sound quality of the unit is really good for the price and is much better than the original factory unit. I had a couple of installation/setup issues due to lack on installation instructions. 1. The rear view camera I installed was not showing on the unit when I switched to reverse. I reached out to the support email awesafe-us.ca@outlook.com and received a response the next day with a picture showing the correct connection for a rearview camera. I hadnt noticed a wire labeled reverse on the back of the unit because it was in the middle of the power harness. I had incorrectly connected the trigger wire from the camera to the wire that is beside the camera input. This is not the correct wire. The email pointed out that the correct wire was the brown wire (3rd wire in the power harness) that I needed to connect to for the reverse signal. After moving the wire the camera then worked. 2. I found the setting for switching the temperature units from C to F but the setting didn't work. You need the code 3368 to get to the setting. I reached out to the support email awesafe-us.ca@outlook.com and again received a response the next day. The reply to my email had a link for 2 .apk files and asked that I download them to a usb drive and install them on the unit using its built in file explorer. This was an easy process and after installing the .apk files that were provided the unit would allow me to change from C to F. All and all I am very happy with the unit and the price. ... show more

Install took about 45mins. I am an aircraft mechanic so maybe 2-2.5 for someone not mechanically inclined. There’s YouTube videos all over that give complete and exact directions that are easy to follow. Started right up first try. I have a single AC car and this kit was perfect for it. Heat and AC works first try. Only thing I didn’t do was mount and try the mic. Unit is very responsive. CarPlay started syncing immediately when I clicked on the bluetooth on my phone. Took a good second to load but works seamlessly just like it does on my 18 BMW. Music sounds 1000000000x better especially when you mess with the equalizer. Fit is great except for the box on the bottom. Opening and closing the lid it catches on the bottom of the unit but not where you can see it. Dimming works with your headlight switch. GPS worked great. Haven’t tried the USB’s yet but I’m sure they work fine. Very responsive to touch and commands work immediately as they do on my factory equipped BMW screen. Picture quality is pretty good too. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this purchase, especially since I got for just under $200 with reward points and prime day deal. Worth every penny so far. When you take out the oem unit there are two bolts on the bottom. Since this one is slim without the cd player there's no place for the bottom to bolt. So the bottom kinda just sits there loose. There's no problem with using iPhone, using android is another story, android auto only seems to work wired but the USB wired to the radio won't charge the phone well, so your phone will die. I got the wireless to work maybe 3 times it's always wonky if you feel like sitting there 45 minutes each time trying to get it to connect go ahead, everytime you start the car you'll need to figure it out. Within 2 days of owning it the side touch buttons stopped working that means you can't go back to the main menu (essentially bricked) or change the volume. I would have tried again with a replacement as maybe this was a dud unit but this does replace your heat and AC controls. I'm taking a road trip and I don't need to put my faith in a cheap unit wondering when and if my ac will stop working. As much as it's nice to have modern features, you cant beat the reliability of your oem unit. Unless the oem unit is broken I wouldn't bother upgrading to these questionable units. Install is fairly easy btw and I didn't have any issues with the ac i just feel that if things start to fail that quickly between software and hardware the ac wouldnt be far off and then the whole thing giving out.
