EDIT: 9/8/24 I had to come back here to update, cuz I was contacted by Hana from Customer Service (CSR), and she handled my concerns like a boss, totally professional, and in the end, I was sent a total replacement kit due to the unavailability of a replacement controller that apparently was faulty and that caused the wheel to lock up... Thank you Hana for going the extra mile for me to resolve this, and I appreciate your help in this matter... I am looking forward to getting back on the road again... Anthony I really liked this unit when I first got it, and installed it... I managed to get about 120 miles of use with it before it suddenly stopped working and left me stranded a few miles from home cuz it felt as tho' something internally gave out and was dragging and causing the wheel to no longer roll freely, somewhat like a bearing going bad on you... The throttle indicator lights remained on (red, yellow, green), but when the throttle was engaged, there was no response... After managing to walk home with it, I flipped the bike over, and tried to turn the front hub by hand, and it was hard to spin, as tho' it was dragging on something... So I started to disconnect the wiring harness, and when I disconnected the 3-wires to the block (blue, green, yellow) the wheel spins freely... My guess is that the controller is bad, or the wheel motor, or both... I'm going to have to replace the unit, and this time I will try someone else... ... show more

Very powerful motor, comes as a complete tire and wheel assembly, wire harness leave a lot to be desired and battery pack connectors do NOT match what is provided. Make sure you have a soldering gun and estra 12 AWG wire handy. NOTE use duel torque arms, such as Zacro Universal Ebike Torque Arm Conversion Kits, Electric Bike Front or Rear Hub Motors. This 1000 watt motor has a LOT of torque and will torque out of even steel front forks. This $10 kit from Amazon is well worth the price. Avoid the single arm kits. NO Warranty or Customer Support Motor controller failed after 3 weeks of use!!!!!! ... show more

Well I had this kit since 2022 and so far so good it did not disappoint me. I do pedal assist all the time and I believe the motor wheel loves it. I had to buy a second battery because I kept charging the first battery and the first battery would cut off. At that time I did not knowledge of these EBIKE BATTERIES. People be telling me they sees me flying up the street but I still be doing pedal assist. With my new battery if I am going on a long journey I may top the power off but plugging it up no more than 3 hours. OVERALL I am happy with this kit and it was worth the investment. Paired this with a 48V 20ah 40a BMS, has lag and I would not recommend immediately giving more power to fix the lag. It’s best to keep low power until it engages. It works but there’s probably better products for your money. This might just be as simple as buying a new controller but I don’t like going down rabbit holes. A torque bar should be installed on the cable side before purchasing and include one for the other side. Then installation would not be as difficult. I tried with one torque bar, but it requires two. Can't get the torque bar go through the connector of the cable. It's a pretty powerful motor. So this is my suggestion ... show more

I bought this kit 2 yrs. ago and it has worked well. It's got good torque and speed. It's pretty basic with 3 lights to tell you the battery charge and doesn't come with a display. But if you want to get into ebiking cheaply I highly recommend it. You will have to get torque arms for each side, otherwise the axle will spin in the forks ripping the wires out. ... show more

I purchased this in July of 2023. I stored it for the winter the last of October 2023. I removed the battery. In the middle of February 2024, we had some nice weather, I hooked up the battery to take it for a ride, and after having some problems with the front wheel the motor started making a noise. I peddled it home. once home I propped the front wheel to be able to freewheel. the wheel felt like it was catching on something, The motor then started to smoke. I checked the wiring and everything was properly hooked up. I wrote the company, but they could only tell me to reinstall the wheel and make sure it was connected properly. Then they asked if I was climbing a hill or carrying anything on the bike. I wrote back to them and explained that I followed their directions. I am still waiting to hear back from them. This item should have lasted more than 7 months! I am retired living on a fixed income and unable to purchase this type of item someplace else. My bike is my only form of transportation! hopefully, we can get this problem settled! ... show more
