I wanted labels for my seed collection. Paired with small plastic bags to keep the seeds in, the labels stick very well to the bag. It's nice to write in and stick on. Most likely will purchase again! Only negative for ME, is removal of label. I've only used it on the plastic bag to label it, tried to peel it off because I made a mistake (made a duplicate label), and the bag started to peel with it. I'll have to deal with the wrong name on it, so it doesn't remove easily on the plastic bag, take it with a grain of salt as I don't know how easily it would remove off of other surfaces! ... show more

OK, I'm always thinking I'm going to run out of these, and then buy more, and oops realize I still had enough to last for a while. But then I'm relieved b/c you need these! I use them for files, but also for labeling jars and foods in plastic going into the freezer, cutting pieces to use as "white out," making cute labels for craft items by pinking the edges, and I could keep going. They are nice to have handy. And i like this packaging, you can stash them anywhere. Just don't do what I did, forget where I stashed them, worst case scenario, you reorder more and discover your old stash, but by golly, you will be set for another bit of time. ... show more

I use these for my outgoing address labels for mail art swaps as they're the perfect size for smaller sized correspondence like postcards; the fairly matte finish takes ink and markers well; the rounded corners offer a less generic and utilitarian appearance. Avery makes a similar size that's removable, but I purchased these because the adhesive is mighty. Can you remove them if you just lightly apply them to non paper surfaces? Technically, yes, but it's not their prime function nor would I recommend it. Avery's full sized sheets of this label size, for inkjet printers are, in my experience, usually more trouble than they're worth because the templates are a PITA and rarely as 'universal' as claimed. Unless you need a massive amount of identical labels, these are a more than adequate alternative and adhere far more securely than the adhesive offered on the full sheets. Of course you can also trim these and create smaller labels for little detailed labeling projects. A solid value. There's 4 labels per sheet, 32 sheets, totaling 128 labels. The math works! My local big box office supply store had a very limited number of options in small labels and what they did offer was only sold in bulk. As most individuals don't need a case of these, Amazon to the rescue. These are a pretty old school general purpose item--something you rarely need in a digital age, but it's the kind of product you don't know you need until...you need it. ... show more

If you have to use one to cover up a previous label, the pen or marker may show through. Otherwise, these are great. They are "handwrite only", apparently you can't print on them.
