  • Does NOT work on macOS
Size: HDMI to USB3.0
Regardless what it says in the title, all I get on macOS is a black screen. Works fine on Windows. When I emailed tech support, the answer was: "Please be informed that the product BU110 doesn't support MAC OS system currently, thank you." Even though both here on Amazon and their web site specifically state otherwise. ... show more

  • Super Easy to Use. Works seamlessly with multiple applications. Perfect for use with DSLR cameras.
Size: HDMI to USB3.0
I us this USB external capture card to hook up a DSLR Camera, in my case a Nikon D3300, to use as a webcam, streaming cam for Twitch, and to use it to to capture videos on my computer through StreamLabs OBS. So instead of buying a webcam that I would have been disappointed in, I bought the AVerMedia ExtremeCAP UVC. This device is plug and play like no other plug and play device before. Seriously it is easy! It captures video without delay, at 1080p 60fps, and works seamlessly with everything I've tried. Zoom, WebEx, SplitX, and StreamLabs OBS are the ones I've used so far to date. I highly recommend you buy this product over others. ... show more

  • Would not accept a 1080P 24FPS Input...using it for video capture (Mac)
Size: HDMI to USB3.0
If you plan on using a 1080p24 signal, it might not work for you. It didn't on my Mac. When I switched the camera to 1080p60, it did work although there was a ton of banding in the gradients. I have a cheap HornetTek HDMI USB 3.0 that was almost half the price and it accepted all the signals with no visible banding. It also has pretty low latency, comparable with that from my much more expensive Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 which does not accept a 1080p60 signal. ... show more

  • Got it working with beta firmware found via reddit
Size: HDMI to USB3.0
This product with the factory firmware does not work with a Panasonic GH4 camera at all. However, I was able to find beta firmware (google "BU110 beta firmware" for a link), ran a Windows EXE to update the firmware, then it started working. AverMedia really needs to publish newer firmware to their website and start shipping devices with working firmware. Now that it's working, it uses far less CPU on my Mac than other HDMI capture devices, as it supports the UNCOMPRESSED stream type on USB. Other capture devices (e.g. MiraBox) only support MJPEG which burns about 50% of one CPU to uncompress it when you're doing live streaming work. So, if your Mac is short on CPU and you're doing web meetings, the AverMedia BU110 is a nice upgrade. ... show more

  • Great card in itself, but it saved my Elgato from the trash.
Size: HDMI to USB3.0
I originally got this card because I thought that the Elgato HD60 S wasn't going to work with my PC. What this card did in how it was just the simplest plug-and-play job ever was show me what my real problem was. I was using the USB ports on my case, and testing the AverMedia out through them with some sample recordings. I noticed a horrible amount of video/audio desynchronization and a really slow response on the capture rate through the USB 2.0 port, and a slight audio lag with near-perfect response on the USB 3.0 port. Then I plugged this little wonder that could where Elgato couldn't into one of the 3.0 ports on my motherboard. Everything was perfect. That lead me to my other test the next day. Things to know about this card: --If you read the manual, there is a light type that it will blink when it says it's updating its firmware. I highly recommend plugging this card in on Windows (with internet) for its first-time setup. Despite being a UVC card and thus usable on Linux, that's not something I was willing to test. --Yes, this card has no HDMI output passthrough, but if you'd rather not look at a TV screen while recording, do you need it? I mean, the video comes up in the capture software of your choice once you have your card set up, so really, the only way to know you got it right is when everything is working. And that's the way things should be. --This device also comes with its own capture software on their website, and if you like to have an indication of how much approximate recording time you have to play with, why not try it? ... show more

  • Works great on Mac, no drivers needed
Size: HDMI to USB3.0
I can capture at both 1080p and 720p, latency is low. I love the fact that it has indicator for both usb connection and hdmi connection so you know everything is connected and working. No drivers needed on Mac. I am currently on Catalina and it shows up in the system as a webcam so I can use with OBS Studio, Jitsi, Zoom, etc. I bought 3, I am using with a couple Canon Vixia's and for capturing laptop video output. They show up as separate devices when all plugged into the same computer so they can all be used simultaneously. Seems well made, very portable. Comes with both a USB 3 type A cable and a USB-C cable. ... show more

  • I wanted to give it a Zero Stars
Size: HDMI to USB3.0
I got two of them in three months both stop working, no more picture capture, just a red light on the captured card, for the price it should work forever yet is a bad product, or this is batch is defective. I thank God Amazon gave me my money back because this is a pattern with this product most probably. Go somewhere else for a capture card, actually, you are better off with a 15 dollar Chinese card than this one that cost over a 100. ... show more

  • Best single purpose capture card I've used, and I've used several
Size: HDMI to USB3.0
This is my favorite capture card to give employees for their WFH A/V setups, it captures a great image with low latency but most importantly it actually renders video saying things like "no feed is coming from camera" where all other capture cards just give you a black screen this one helps you figure out what is going wrong. ... show more
