This is my second time purchasing an Avenco mattress, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The first one was for myself, and I was so happy with it that I decided to get one for my child this time. The firmness of the mattress is perfect, offering a medium-soft feel that's ideal for my kid's growing body. It provides just the right amount of support while still being soft enough for comfort. The expansion was quick and smooth —within a few hours, the mattress fully expanded with no issues at all. Cleaning is a breeze. The breathable fabric makes it easy to wipe down and keep clean, which is great for a kid’s bed. I was worried about the fit, but it fits perfectly on the queen-sized bed frame with no gaps or excess. It is a good quality mattress, and I've been used for a month and it has been stood up to rough use so far. 🙃 When I first used it, I thought it was uncomfortable because it was different from the memory foam mattress I had been using. However, I found that it's literally much more comfortable after using it continuously! I like the medium firm part most, and it really helps me sleep well! I wasn’t sure how good this mattress could be for the super low price but I figured I had nothing to lose trying it out. I was blown away. It’s the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on! It’s so comfortable that I overslept my alarm every day for the first two weeks after I got it. It’s firm and supportive and I like that I don’t sink into it like some memory foam mattresses. It only took 5 hours to inflate and didn’t have a smell but it wasn’t firm until the next day so I would wait 24 hours to sleep on it. It’s shockingly good quality and fit on my box spring perfectly. This is my dream mattress for an even dreamier price! Just a note though, it’s more like an 8 on the firmness scale. ... show more

I purchased the 10 inch thick twin mattress for my 4 yr old daughter. The mattress arrived quickly and was well packaged. It's shrinked wrapped to kingdom come - be prepared to unroll yards of plastic before you finally free the vacuumed sealed mattress - that's not a complaint though. The mattress fit perfectly on the twin frame. I didn't notice any odor when unwrapping it, and if there was - it was subtle and didn't bother me or my my daughter. The mattress sprang to life rather quickly... like immediately. I know the directions say to let it rest for a couple days to fully expand but it was not needed at all. I slept in the bed, one night so that I could give my honest feedback, so here we go. There was no sagging of any kind, I felt supported, the mattress felt firm but yet soft - it's a very good in between. There was no noise squeaks or sounds when you roll over, it's very comfortable and functions well. My biggest complaint and the reason I'm deducting a star - you cannot sit on the edge of the mattress. You will fall off. There is no structure or something - and that matress completely collapses in the side, in the corner while you are sitting until you either fall off or stand up. You wouldn't think it'd be a big deal - but to sit on the mattress and tie your shoes, or for to sit on the edge to tuck my daughter in, read a story, etc - it's very annoying (for me). Being that my kiddo is barely 40 lbs - it's fine for her, and she sleeps well. In conclusion: Laying down = great mattress Sitting on the edge = you better be prepared to fall off the bed ... show more

Our daughter moved back in with us after a divorce and brought a bed with her. She used it for about a year before stating that it was hurting her back. One look and we were stunned she used it at all. The mattress was beyond its days. I went looking for one that was affordable for her, since her income is limited and found this one. Based on the reviews, we decided to go for it. It arrived fairly quickly and although heavy, it was not so heavy that I couldn't carry the package myself (I'm a female, 54 years old, 5'2", 110lbs...just for reference). She was working a night shift and my husband works swing. I admit to being an "I'll do it" kind of person and since this needed time to sit, I did just that. I packed it downstairs myself after I got home from work and set it up for her so it would be ready when she got off work. Now, be aware, this is vacuum sealed, so when opening you want to be very cautious. I took my time removing the plastic and tape so that it would unfold slowly rather than bust open and cause damage or injury to anything and anyone around it. Success! I was able to slowly unravel it and place it on top of her box spring without anything or anyone getting broken. After she got home, she made her bed and when she woke up the next morning, she marveled at how comfortable it was. Granted, she could feel the springs in her last mattress so almost anything would be better, but she was really impressed with the quality given the low price. It's firm yet not so firm that it feels like she is sleeping on boards. She says she doesn't toss and turn as much and she doesn't feel the mattress move when she does. She's had it for close to a month now and she is sleeping well and feeling rested. She's very happy with it. We'd both recommend. ... show more
