Sturdy and high capacity capable unit that is easily changed from one ampacity to another. The phone app is hit and miss, but the charger itself’s display is easy to set and operate. The high ampacity wiring keeps the heat down and helps it operate more efficiently. A good value for the price.

Recently Revised Review: So based on my usage over the last couple weeks, this product was finally passed my test. I used it at least once to charge my EV. I checked the temperature around the main unit and at the point of charging, after and during the charging and I can tell that this unit that I received did stand and it is safe to use. I guess the defected one was an escape or something. For a portable charger, the cable's AWG could be fine and sufficient, and as long as no excessive heat dissipation or none at all. I can safely recommend this product but as any product, always check if the item is defective physically or as it was used, so you could work it out with the supplier. I increased my rate another star, but still one star short to 5 for the sake of the trouble at the beginning. I can, however, tell that their customer service is 5 stars. Updated Review; The manufacturer's customer service approaches me trying to communicate and have an understanding of the issue. Then they offered me to try the product again. Then they send me the product this time for free. I mentioned to them that I do suspect that the size may need to be increased. I'm still testing the cable that they sent and will update this review again once I reach to the final conclusion. I'm pumping the stars one more for the tremendous efforts that customer service has to resolve this issue. The star is not meant for the free "replacement". I'd definitely return the product if I reached the same original conclusion. I wish that all consumers products companies treat their customers this way as this company did in my experience. Original Review: The 1ft portion of the cable right after the charger, leading to the car, was heating up abnormally. This is safety hazard. So I returned it. The charging happened in the garage, over the night, a decent cold California night, shaded area, no other load (dryer) was on. So no reason to have the wire heating up. Otherwise, it'd work for the nicely designed bag, proper wire length and such. I think the wire AWG size might be a factor. ... show more
