Features

  • [SOUND-AMPLIFYING EARPHONES] The Avantree AcuEar Pebble doubles as both open-ear true wireless earphones and an OTC hearing amplifier. When in Hear Assist Mode, a discreet microphone located in the charging case transmits amplified audio to the earphones, acting as a table mic and allowing you to listen from afar while maintaining sufficient volume levels.
  • [CLEAR, BOOSTED SOUND] Utilizing advanced sound amplification technology, the earphones provide exceptional sound clarity at a distance of up to 50ft from the table mic / charging case, even in noisy environments.
  • [MULTIFUNCTIONAL] In addition to serving as a hearing amplifier (ideally suited for TV watching), the AcuEar Pebble earphones also function normally as Bluetooth earphones, so you can stream music and answer calls on the go.
  • [DIRECTIONAL LISTENING] Position the table mic as needed to compensate for directional hearing loss and adjust each earphones volume separately to achieve optimal sound balance.
  • [DISCREET FORM FACTOR] Both the AcuEar Pebble earphones and their case masquerade as an everyday earbuds set, providing function without calling unnecessary attention to the users hearing disability.
  • [LASTING POWER] A battery life of up to 10 hours (35 with the charging case) supplies you with sufficient battery power to last throughout most of the day.

  • I like them
Work great with my phone and my computer. The tabletop amplifier needs to filter ambient noise better. Too many audio transients.

  • Adds volume and clarity
I am impressed with these bluetooth headphones/sound amplifiers. I have tried several OTC hearing aids and they can be hit or miss with sound quality, and I always seem to have an issue with squealing and hissing that can be annoying. I also always have a hard time getting ear buds to sit right in my ears. I have tried all different sizes of ear buds, and I can get them to work, but they never feel like they are sitting right in my ear These are designed with a speaker that sits over the ear instead of inside. This makes them more bulky and noticeable than some of the smaller ear buds, but it works much better for me without sacrificing sound quality. I was a little confused at first because I kept trying to get them in my ear, but once I figured it out I was pleasantly surprised at how well it fits and works without all the fidgeting trying to get them set just right in my ear The sound amplification is different from others I have used as well. This one uses the charging case as a receiver to send the input to the headphones. For me this works great. I primarily plan on using these when watching TV where I always have trouble making out voices. There is an activation button inside the case that puts it into receiving mode and then you just have to place the case where you need to pick up sounds. This probably isn't the best option for anyone that needs a full time hearing aid and doesn't want to have to carry around a case everywhere and whip it out for conversations, but it is great for use around the house, and would be a good option for use during meetings or classes where it can be place in a set location The sound clarity is impressive. I have been using it when watching TV and it does a wonderful job picking up and clarifying voices and reducing outside noise. I don't get any of the squealing or hissing, and it allows me to focus more on what I am watching rather than having to read captions all the time These also work as bluetooth speakers. I was able to get them to pair easily with my phone and tablet and I have been using them to listen to podcasts and music with no issues. It is easy to switch between bluetooth speakers and sound amplification. Again the sound comes through clearly with adjustable volume, and it can be used to receive phone calls The functionality is easy to get down. There is one button on each headphone that can be used to increase or decrease volume as well as answering calls. I am really happy with the performance of these at a reasonable price ... show more

  • Its merely ok for headphones and bad choice for a hearing aid.
I bought this because I wanted to get my father a set of hearing aids that he would feel confident in using. These unfortunately are not it. Unlike real hearing aids, this inexplicably have to have the carrying case paired and linked with the earphones. So if you actually want to use them as hearing aids, you have to open the case, hold down the power button the case, and make sure it pairs with the headphones. Then you have to keep the case open and leave it there in order for it to work. If you are at a restaurant its ok, since you aren't going to be moving very much, but if you are at home or at a party and you need to move around, then you have to move it with you, or you have to put it in your pocket, in which case you won't hear anything except the rustle of clothing. This makes it incredibly inconvenient to use as a hearing aid as my father would never keep moving it around the house to watch TV, or use the computer, or the radio, because he has to move around the house for all those things. If you don't use the case, it won't work as a hearing aid and they will just shut off. When you take them out of the case, they will act as a regular set of headphones, but before you do that you need to pair them with your phone or tablet. Pairing is straight forward, and works just like most every device that needs to be linked to a device. The problem with this is that they work primarily as headphones and since they are open air - not buds that plug into your ears with soft tips, you can hear all the surrounding noise. So if you are on a plane, subway, a restaurant, coffee bar, or similar place, then you will hear all the noise and consequently, others can hear what you are listening to. So if you are looking for headphones, I can't recommend these since there are others with better sound quality and won't disturb others or work better to block out surrounding noise. As a hearing aid, I can't recommend it either because having to push the button on the case, hope it pairs, and then leaving it open on the table to use as the mic is just too inconvenient for anyone who has gotten used to real hearing aids that just plain work. Real hearing aids don't need a base, you turn them on and they stay on and they work. These just have all the compromises and none of the advantages. I wanted to like them but have to give them 3 stars. ... show more
