It's easy to operate and stores flush with the counter top. It does NOT pop up on its own, and we were aware of this when we bought it. We purchased a similar one before this outlet, and it was way too huge so we opted for something slimmer. I would say the quality isn't amazing, but it's working out fine and serves its purpose. The media could not be loaded. They work great and easy to install. Make sure to plug them into GFI circuit if mounting in hidden spot. Really like how they look. Nice and flush. Less than 1/16 thick
