This jump starter is awesome. It is so far the largest and most powerful jump starter I have ever owned. I just purchased about a week ago and yesterday I was able to test it by starting an 8.6 liter six-cylinder diesel truck with a dead battery. Nothing happened on the first try. After consulting AUTOGEN customer service, they advised to press the boost button to start a dead battery which i forgot. Then I try it again. It spun the engine just in seconds, as if it had a brand-new battery. I should say it was much better than I ever expected. Pros: 1. Really safe: I tested it by connecting the clamps reversely. It alerted, but nothing bad happened. No sparks at all. 2. Powerful: start my 8.6-liter diesel vehicle right away; 3. Convenient: Used the battery for 12V vacuum cleaner and air compressor directly, no extra cable required; 4. Bright flashlight: hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the light. Pretty smart design. The flash flight is really bright. 5. Quick charge USB ports: I can see it charges my new iPhone much faster than a regular charger. Cons: 1. It does not support 24V vehicles; I wish AUTOGEN could have a 24V model soon! 2. It does not have a port to charge laptops as other models. It would be nice to have, but not necessary for this professional model. If you like a really powerful jump starter with a large battery to last long time, this is definitely the one! You can just tell by feeling the weight on your hand. To be honest, I would say this price for what it is is a bargain! ... show more

Would not even start my 4 cylinder transit connect. This is no way a 10k amp starter. More like 10kMilli amp. To small to pack this amp power. I'm a witness. Returned it as soon as it didn't work. It was charged to 97% as shown in my picture and nothing started it is garbage. Update : takes almost a month for a refund so get ready to wait 2 weeks after they receive the merchandise to get your money back ... show more

the item would not start my diesel motorhome engine. There's an explanation for this. I investigated by first trying to charge my batteries with a battery charger. The batteries would not take a conventional charge. I removed the batteries, cleaned all terminals and again attempted to put a conventional charge in the batteries to no avail. My batteries were totally discharged and failed battery tests. The autogen 3000A was the only thing that would put enough charge through my system to turn on ignition lights so I feel this to be a powerful jump box and would recommend this product. I could not post the true review. The powers that be won't let me. So here is another hand typed verion of the same review. I purchsed this unit in Noverber 2023. First time I had ocasion to use it (Second week of February 2024) I couldn't make it work. (Due to inexperience with the unit) Brought home and it wouldn't start my riding lawn mower, completely dead battery. But my 2000 amp would complete the task. After some research I found I wasn't operating it correctly. Tried again on completely dead mower and it done the job. So we have concluded that this jump atrter will start a 27 hp Briggs and Straton v twin. Now for my issue. When purchased in November the listing said 13L diesel in one location and 15L diesel in another location. When I tried to find out who to coctact over what I thought was a defective unit, the listing had changed to 13L in one area and 12L in another. I have my doubts about it starting any diesel with a four battery system. We will see because I carry it in a semi with 15L Cummins. I expect I will have to call road service again even after purchasing this unit at $500, would have been cheaper just to keep calling them to start with. Edit 3/9/24 and I didn't accept this. Just never answered. Below it the last message from this seller after I mentioned questionable advertising tacktics Hi Charles, Thank you for your letter. I purchased the Autogen 3000A June '21. It is now May '22. Feel I've used the product enough to give an honest review. It's a beast. Used it several times on various V8's, 6Cyl, 4Cyl & my '97 7.3L Power Stroke. This thing cranks over like the vehicle has a new battery. I'm not one to rant & rave when a product does what It's suppose to do. It just works. Used it today on a '94 Explorer 4.0L with 250,000 miles & a completely shot battery. This thing cranked it over like it was nothing. The booster was charged last November & it's been in the trunk of my car till today. Fully chargered, worked perfectly fine. Tips- small engines & batteries just too low to start, use as is. Bigger engines & completely dead batteries, use the boost button. Very nice case with a little extra room for some tools etc. I didn't read any reviews so don't know if this product has any faults. Mine works great. Hope this helps. Great alternative to the higher priced name brands. Side note. For totally drained batteries, hook the booster up to the battery. It might not turn on or make the little clicky sound. Leave it hooked up to the battery for a few minutes. If it doesn't turn on, Disconnect then reconnect one or more times. I think maybe it gives the battery a slight charge so the charger can recognize that it's hooked up correctly. If the battery is totally dead the charger can't determine if the connection is correct. ... show more
