Used these as a replacement to my other wind guards on my Explorer sport. They stick out about an inch more than my originals did. My original ones were streamlined and really low profile. These create to much wind noise.

I really like this product. The adhesion is strong and was pretty easy to install. I would have given a 5 star but there were some small scratches on two of the pieces. But this is a small factor since with weather and road conditions scratches will probably occur one day.

I always thought a little higher of AVS. Ventshade is pretty decent. Had some scratches on them that I really didn't care for. WARNING: if your windows go UP with one click of the button these inchannel shades will keep your windows from going all the way up. I fought with it some but was able to get them to work. I should have gotten the other style so it's not in the channel. Overall it's a good shade. If your vehicle doesn't have one click up auto windows I would recommend these. ... show more

New updates: Uninstalled front shades. Could not to window up fully. Original adhesive was not sticking. The shade was only connected by its own fit in the window. 2018 Ford explorer. Update 2 weeks later: the shade with the adhesive cover damaged, it did not stick well enough. Now I have to put my hand on the shade to close window or the safety features kick in. The rear shades has adhesive on both sides which did not work. Lost a star. ///It went on easy. I just watched YouTube videos. No complaints except for the packaging. The plastic wrap was heated onto the vent shade adhesive cover. As I removed the cover to open it, half the adhesive cover came off of one of the shades. That was the hardest one to install. I put pieces of cardboard to shim and help the adhesive strip stay in contact with pane. I'll update in 65 hours. Lost a star because I had to work harder on the last shade. ... show more

Installed these on my 2013 Ford Explorer XLT. Rear pair is as close to perfect as can be, front fitment is a little odd regardless of installation position, had to simply make do with how it was. The front edge overhang doesn't quite look right in comparison to the window edge or the top overhang, though it seems to work just fine. One really nice thing about using these is that it eliminates the Helmholtz effect when a single rear window is open. That's the thrumming beat effect that can drive you nuts quickly, which ordinarily requires you to open another window to eliminate. The adhesive tape used on these looks like the same kind I've used myself in the past - it's lasted 20 years on boats. For best results make sure the tape is warm before installing. You can put these on if it's cool outside, just make sure that the visors themselves were stored inside before you do it so that the adhesive is ready. ... show more

    • These definitely look great, but aren't perfect.
Style: Low Profile - Smoke
The plastic used for these seems thinner than the normal ones, and feels cheaper because of that. However, they do seem to be nice and strong. One major issue is the space that these leave between the front of the window and the side view mirror - water easily gets in the window because of that gap. Normally the vent shades come down and close off at the front end, but these are open. This results in a bunch of water coming in when driving or when using windshield washer fluid. These are definitely best when used as vents for hot weather and not as good when you want the windows open while moving in rain. I feel as though the tradeoff for these should be less money for less functionality rather than more money for better looks over the standard version. ... show more
