I bought this in April. I’m one of those women who only do my hair for special occasions. First time I used this product I was happy for a wedding in June. Then the second time in September for my birthday, still worked. Halloween for the third time it turned on, worked, and shut off like usual. Well….. early November went to use it for the FOURTH entire time of owning it! For a first date. Plugged in. Hit the button. Didn’t turn on. I reset the outlet and tried again. Nothing. Plugged my hair dryer in and it worked no problem. I’m so upset I spent so much money for an average device that broke after 4 USES! I’ve bought $40-$60 straighteners and blow dryers still working years later. But this thing blows after 4 uses? I believe the CHI brand is ridiculous priced. But apparently $50 only gets 4 occasional uses before the device breaks for no reason. Wish I used it 4 times in a month to be able to GET A REFUND! ridiculous it broke after 4 uses. ... show more

So I could never master the art of using a curling iron. I tried every product under the sun except for the dyson air wrap bc that is just not what I can spend on hair tools. Anyway, when I tell you that first time using it, i managed to curl my entire head within maybe 15 minutes , and it turned out GREAT! it will take some time to practice, getting the strand into the slot does take some practice especially on back of head but it super easy, and comfortable. I dont have to worry about getting burned with the barrel. My 13 yr old said” this is the best tool and I’m obsessed “ her arm and hand doesn’t hurt. Its a lightweight tool and she curled her almost to her waist long hair in 10 minutes. For anyone who struggles with using a traditional curling iron , give this a try!a few curls didn’t come out perfect and it still looked good when i brushed them out . 10/10 highly recommend ... show more

Well I have a hard time working this iron. I get my hair all stuck in it. Even my 14 year old granddaughter cand get it right. So as of now I'm not sure if it's is us of the product.
