it is not a simple scanner, it is a comprehensive diagnostic scan platform. comes with all nessccery accessories like adapters, cables, probes, docking charging station, breakout leads, test leads and much more. I realized that it is a combination of Autel MaxiSys Ultra and EV Diagnostic Upgrade Kit (EV Kit worth $1000). the main tablet is huge, with the responsive touch screen and the big battery, it can work around 10 hours. it can do all things Autel Ultra does, and it can test and diagnose the high-voltage system block, components and sockets and battery pack analysis. it comes with all the necessary adapters and accessories. I can diagnose both gas and electric cars. have used it on Tesla and Toyota Prius to test the battery cells and the high voltage system, both were good and smooth. it can also show you how to disassemble the battery step by step, I will try this function when I have a chance. it is good so far. ... show more

    • Value for the money, take it
since a customer asked me to check the batter pack for his Nissan Leaf, I known EV scanner is must-have tool for my repair shop. Then I got Autel Ultra EV because it is the top intelligent scan tool I can find on the market, and it is suitable for gas, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles. A customer drove in a 2015 Chevrolet Volt with charging problem, the Ultra EV helped me to quickly identify the problem with a faulty battery cell. Another customer came to me with 2019 Tesla Model 3, and said the charging speed is not fast enough. After diagnosed high-voltage system block, components and sockets, analyzed battery pack via OBD and directly with included specialty cables and jumpers, I gave him the result: there was no problem, maybe just need a betterJ1772 adapter. Both records were saved on the online cloud database, next time I will find all the detail and history conveniently. I gonna say it’s a must-have tool for repair shops and car dealers. ... show more

Autel Ultra EV is an amazing diagnostic tool. You konw the Autel EV Diagnostic Upgrade Kit costs $1000. Compared to the Ultra, for just $100 more, you get ability to diagnosis electric vehicles. it's a great value for money. I've already used it on my Tesla and it works perfectly
