The media could not be loaded. Within a few minutes we were able to lead a misfire back to cylinder 7 It was a random hard to find misfire that was caused by oil that clears up after the engine warms up . This scanner is very user friendly. The quality is next to the 6k scanners. Easy suto vin connect. Bright screen.     • Not perfect but incredible value for the money!
It's not a perfect product, It runs on 10 year old Android 4.4, is sometimes slow to work through the menus with repetitive "Establishing communication" sessions, and wasn't able to do a couple things I tried with it like read ABS codes from my 1998 Toyota Rav4. That being said when you compare it to professional diagnostic tools that cost 10x as much I think you'd have a real hard time finding reasons not to buy this. It offers so much functionality and broad compatibility with makes and models from all over the world, and does so at a price point that doesn't require a mortgage to afford it. Software is constantly being updated and the yearly subscription, while a significant amount of money, is pennies on the dollar compared to the other high price scan tools. All in all the best pound for pound diagnostic tool I've found as a hobbyist car enthusiast, and all of my professional mechanic buddies agree. ... show more

I bought this scanner primarily for the SRS code ability. It is able to complete that to my satisfaction, but it also does much more. The tablet makes this unit completely independent from various competitors that require use of other items (phone, computer, etc). The tablet has internal memory and a memory card. I own and run a professional repair facility. So, I need multiple scan tools. I have a variety of Autel models, and decided to sell one to get this newer version. It does most everything I need it to.

    • So far so good. Worth the money
I got this to diagnose an engine light on my 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid because taking it to the dealership is always a ripoff and I don’t trust them anymore. Updates are extremely important and quite frequent which I think is a good thing. The interface is a little clunky being android and there is a learning curve on exactly what you can and can’t do with a particular vehicle. But overall I am extremely happy with this. This comes with a 1 year subscription for the updates. I bought another year so it is good for two years. It is pricey ($349.00) but I think it is worth it being informed before calling the dealership. I’ve tried this on the Hyundai and a 2018 F250 Powerstroke. Lots of information and options to see and use for that one too. I drive a lot so this has become an invaluable maintenance tool for me. ... show more

Autel is a Chinese company 100% and good luck getting into contact with them should you need too. This product was sold with 1 year of updates included in the purchase price starting from the date you activated it. Their website is terrible and just leads you in circles getting nowhere. Now it leaves me wondering if this scanner will drop dead on 12-7-2020 ? Updated for 2021: DO NOT BUY. It should be plainly spelled out in the product information that this device is a subscription based service. I understand paying for updates after one year if you need or desire to keep it current with the latest data as it comes out. What is not made at all clear is that this device will drop dead if it does not have an active subscription. Absolutely NOWHERE is that mentioned. Your buying a subscription at $350/year just to keep the device active. ... show more
