It does amplify sound, but my ear canals are very small, and it is not comfortable for me to wear. Also, I get feedback sound shrill when putting it in at lowest setting. I still have the ringing in my ears from tinnitus it does not make it fade into the background, disappointing for me.

I finally convinced my 95 yr old Mom to try hearing aids. These hurt her ears and she can’t tell a difference in sound.

We bought these for our Brother in law who is 97. He loves them!! He can hear!! This helps him rather than sit and not be included in conversations. Actually quite a blessing! Are they top notch hearing aides, I don’t think so but they work for us.

2 Weeks after receiving, the left ear stopped working completely and would not charge at all. Did amplify (when it worked), but sound was harsh - restaurants were awful and I removed them. A complete waste of $100! Recommend looking at a different brand,
