    • Great value for that guest bedroom
This is a well-designed and attractive unit that works great in the guest bedroom. It was packaged extremely well with foam and formed cardboard that protected the pieces (and their corners) very well. Assembly was a snap, though it does take a couple of hours, all parts fit perfectly and it even came with spare hardware too. The cabinet is solid wood with particle board used sparingly for the back cover piece, etc. It is simple to open/close the bed and the design provides for a very stable base. The drawer pulls out and its frame supports the base of the bed on both sides as well as top/bottom, an excellent design compared to other manufacturers. Two adults were quite comfortable and the bed was plenty stable/strong/durable. These features made this product better than many we saw that were 2x or 3x the price, it also includes an outlet & USB which is a useful feature. We also like the fact that the 1/2 of the top also flips open, reducing the feeling of being 'boxed-in' when you lay on the mattress. All-in-all, this is a great, fully complete unit that is well-constructed and reasonably priced. ... show more

This was exactly what I was searching for. It did come with a broken latch on one side but customer service was great and sent out a new one immediately. The mattress is comfortable. We left it out for three days so it could fluff up. Took a few time to figure out how to fold it up into the cabinet, but once we did, it was easy to set up. ... show more

I don’t write reviews enough but I had to on this bed. This was one of my best purchases ever. I really needed this piece as an extra bed in a den area and it matched my decor perfectly! I was apprehensive about what I would get after reading some of the reviews. My package was delivered on time as promised the packaging was great and protected the product from any shipping damage. I was prepared for the amount of packaging materials from the reviews and prepared in advance. It took 2 people and about an hour and a half to put the bed together. It fit perfect in my space and it easy to set up. I have tried it with just the foam mattress supplied and with an air mattress underneath. The bed is comfortable either way. ... show more

The bad: The paint was spotty and uneven. The hinge was busted and cracked. NONE of the pieces were labeled. My best guess is they sent me a used product. There is no way contact these folk to air my complaint. If they gave me 20% of because they sent me a scratch and dent open box item I'd be happy. What could be good: If I overlook that this did not appear new...it was easy to put together, all mechanical parts work perfectly, and the price was right. The feel: I tried it out(135lbs 5,6 girl) with a friend about the same size. It held us fine, but it made concerning creaking sounds. Also the mattress isn't very comfortable. Not a long term option for sure, but just fine for us for short term. It's also pretty low to the ground. I think this won't be a great fit for my parents. Too low and not enough cushion. I'm thinking popping an air mattress on it will solve that. Why we kept it: We decided we'd just toss a air mattress on it and call it good enough. It's VERY convenient and folds up nice. Big space saver. I'd NOT buy this one again, I'd buy a nicer model. But I'm not about to pack it up and return it. Most of my displeasure surrounds the condition of it. I expected new and it was not not new looking. If I'd paid less for a scratch and dent, I'd have been very happy. I'll post some pictures ... show more

Like everyone else we purchased this for occasional use and as a nice piece of furniture. Quality is mediocre, paint finish is poor (see picture), it needs another coat or two and would be much better which would also prevent the gaps that appear like black spots as shown. Shipping packaging was fine so maybe they improved on that. No broken or damaged parts. Assembly was pretty straight forward and only took about an hour. Fitment was about a 7 out of 10. Overall I'd recommend at a cheaper price and with a couple of notes as included in this review. ... show more

    • Easy to assemble
This product was easy to assemble. My daughter and I set it up in about 1 hr. It's a little bulkier than I expected but it looks great in my living room and it is very comfortable for our guests. I am purchasing another one for my parents' house.

I bought the queen size. We really like it. It comes in three LARGE boxes on a small pallet so disposing the packaging was honestly the most painful part of the process. Putting it together wasn’t too difficult! You can definitely do it alone but it’s much easier with two people. It’s SUPER heavy so build it where you want it to end up! There are a few tiny marks and imperfections, but since we got white, it’s easy to paint over the scuff marks. Overall, we’re happy with the purchase!     • Quality is good and customer service so far is good
So far so good with the Murphy bed, one piece was split and we are waiting for a replacement part which is going to take almost 3 months. Installation to that point was very easy. Quality of the bed is fabulous and the furniture does look very nice.
