I had just bought a new Leupold scope at BPS and was excited to get it on my new Howa 308. After mounting and bore siting, I found that the windage and elevation turrets would not move the crosshairs. Very disappointed and had to return. I had been reading reviews on the Athlons for a while but was hesitant to buy. But after the Leupold experience, I pulled the trigger on the 2.5 to 15 by 50 with the BDC reticle. Man I am so impressed with this scope. Clear glass, positive clicks on turrets, good eye relief, clear edge to edge. A little heavier than the Leupold and I know Leupold makes awesome scopes, but this one is doing the job very nicely. Its holding .30 to .60 MOA at 200 yards with IMR powder and 165 grn Nosler Ballistic tip and Sierra Game Changers. I prefer the BDC reticle, as I like less info but clear crosshairs. ... show more

Looked through an Athlon scope that someone was using at the local range and was amazed at how incredibly clear and sharp the target was at 200 yards. Clearer than my scopes that are a minimum of twice the price. Read reviews on the Athlon and no complaints so I went ahead and purchased one for hunting. For the price, this scope has a lot of features. Illuminated reticle, turrets are crisp,/ audible, glass is clear. Mounted it on an AR-10 with a aero precision ultralight mount, and its solid as a rock. Slowly moving away from Vortex to Athlon.

Normally these scopes are very nice scopes for the money and i have two of them.I really like these scopes BUT when i pay full price for a scope that's what i expect to get.Not this time i received a used scope instead.
