For hand embroidery on jeans, shirts, flowers, aida cloth. This thread rarely tangles. Give it a try because you don't have to buy the most expensive thread to have a good result. Also good for applique or big stitch quilting. Plenty of variety in colors to work with.

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing these and they worked out for me. A few things to note: - They do come a bit tangled. Just be careful when separating and they are fine. I only had a couple that started coming out of their skein. - I didn’t go through all the colors with a fine-tooth comb like others did, but overall it seemed like I didn’t really get any duplicates. If I did, they were few and far between. - The colors were perfect; some were vibrant and others were more muted shades which is what I wanted. I already had a ton of super brights left over from other packs that I’m probably going to ask my husband to take to his middle school students so they can make bracelets because I’ll never use them. I wanted colors that ran the gamut because I use them for embroidery so this was much better for me. - I didn’t pay any attention to the numbers on the side. I know, cardinal embroidery sin! But honestly I’m a casual embroiderer so I usually pick a color that I think looks good with the others and don’t go by numbers. I probably should pay more attention to this because it will bite me one day, but for all the projects I’ve done so far it’s been fine. I tend to do freestyle embroidery rather than follow someone’s exact pattern, though. ... show more

The quality and color assortment of this 50 count packet are very nice. Highly recommend. Mark down the color that coordinates with each packet because you might need more and I could not find any way to look up the color number for the green I was using for my project.
