Description

Like most LDG tuners the AT-600ProII operates automatically, beginning a tuning cycle whenever the SWR exceeds a preset limit. To protect its circuitry it will not tune at power levels above 150 watts; bypass your amplifier (or place it in Standby) to complete a tuning cycle using only the exciter. The AT-600ProII also features LDG’s advanced memory tuning, providing 2,000 memory locations; when tuning near a previously used frequency it will recall the settings for nearly instant tuning. It learns your favorite frequencies and bands as you use it. You can also start a tuning cycle manually whenever necessary. The AT-600ProII has a large, easy to read bar-graph wattmeter that show forward and reverse power with two selectable ranges (60 and 600 watts), as well as an SWR meter. The AT-600ProII will interface with many popular transceivers so you can start a tuning cycle with the radio’s TUNE button. Dedicated control buttons on the tuner allow you to fine-tune capacitance and inductance on those rare occasions when the AT-600ProII can’t find a perfect match by itself. The AT-600ProII features two output connectors so you can easily switch between two antennas. There are 2,000 memory locations for each antenna, allowing nearly instant returning on frequencies you’ve used before. The AT-600ProII will tune from 1.8 to 54.0 MHz continuously, and will match Yagis, dipoles, inverted-Vs, slopers, or virtually any coax-fed antenna from 6 to 1000 ohms impedance (16 – 150 ohms on 6 meters). Tuning time is usually under 10 seconds; memory tuning time is under 0.2 seconds. Longwires or antennas fed with ladder line require an external balun, not included. Optional M-600 4.5" analog meter shows FWD (100 and 600W scales), REV, or SWR in Peak or Average. Easy to read LED bar-graph meters showing RF power, SWR and tuner status, tactile feedback control buttons and an LED bypass indicator complete the user interface. Any power source from 11–16 V DC can be used; draws up to 750mA

  • which provides a very nice display for use while tuning the amp
I purchased this tuner to use with a 600 watt linear. It works very well and I also purchased the optional meter for it, which provides a very nice display for use while tuning the amp. The tuner takes everything the amp can dish out. Even though it's rated at 600 watts, I was told by LDG that it will handle close to 700 so that it will handle a 600 watt amp with ease. My only complaint is that mine arrived with a some scuffing on the top cover, which was strictly cosmetic. Amazon refunded some of my purchase price to compensate me for that but otherwise, the tuner has worked flawlessly. It's a very good tuner and the led displays are useful but I do recommend the optional meter which I don't think is sold by Amazon. I purchased mine through Amateur Electronics. It is much larger that the pictures, is LED backlit and provides a nice large and easy to read display. The meter comes with an S-video cable that plugs into the back of the tuner. The optional meter doesn't measure the RF directly, I really like this because there is no coax jumper needed so it's very flexible for placement and keeping the connections for RF to a minimum. The tuner will function just fine without the external/optional meter and you can use only the LEDs to help you tune the amp but the optional meter is much more detailed. All in all, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • A SUPERB PRODUCT
HOWEVER, IT REQUIRED A BALUN FOR ONE MY ANTENNAS AND SINCE ALL MY ANTENNAS FUNCTION AS THEY SHOULD, I DIDNT FEEL IT NECESSARY CHANGING ANYTHING. OTHERWISE YOUR PRODUCT IS A SUPERB ITEM. NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER WITH IT OTHER THAN IT JUST WOULD NOT WORK WITHOUT A BALUN.. I HAVE RETURNED IT TODAY 04JAN2021. JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW,, THANKS W8KJP ... show more

Great Tuner, Works well with no issues. I have it paired with the M-600 Meter. Easily handles my 600 watt Ameritron AL-811 Gotta love one button tuning. Read the manual and do not tune with power.

So very easy to connect and use. I wish I bought the AT-600PROII a long time ago. Makes switching and operating operating on different bands so easy.

  • Didn't work for me.
I wanted to replace my old MFJ manual tuner, so I emailed LDG and asked if the AT600 would tune my G5RV. The G5 is notoriously bad tempered toward tuners. I got a reply quickly from one of their engineers, who said it would be no problem. So I ordered the unit. However, when I set the LDG up, it just clicked away and never did the job. The two stars are for the ease with which I got a full refund when I sent it back to LDG. I went back to the MFJ and it still works fine, just more work to change bands. ... show more
