Description

The LDG AT-200ProII is a general purpose automatic tuner suitable for any amateur application. It covers 1.8-54 MHz, and features a two-position antenna switch allowing instant switching between two antennas. The AT-200ProII requires just 5 watts for operation but will handle up to 250 watts, making it ideal for the new generation of higher powered transceivers, or for QRP operations that sometimes use a small amplifier. Like most LDG tuners the AT-200ProII operates automatically, beginning a tuning cycle whenever the SWR exceeds a preset limit. The AT-200ProII also features LDG’s advanced memory tuning, providing 2,000 memory locations; when tuning near a previously used frequency it will recall the settings for nearly instant tuning. It learns your favorite frequencies and bands as you use it. You can also start a tuning cycle manually whenever necessary. Large, easy-to-read LED bargraphs show forward and reverse power power in peak or average mode, and SWR. Two power scales are provided: 25 watts and 250 watts. The bargraphs also indicate tuner status and input confirmations. The AT-200ProII uses LDG’s state-of-the-art, processor-controlled Switched-L tuning network. It will match dipoles, verticals, inverted-Vees or virtually any coax-fed antenna. The LDG AT-200ProII is designed for this new generation of rig. It's specifically recommended for Ten-Tec and tube radios. Many QRP operators have a small 100-150 watt amplifier for times when you need a few more S-units. The AT-200II is ideal for this kind of operation; it’s minimum required power is only 5 watts, but it will handle the higher power as well. You can also use the AT-200ProII with longwires, random wires and antennas fed with ladder line with the optional LDG balun. Operation couldn’t be simpler: while transmitting a carrier, just press the Tune button. An automatic tuning cycle will begin, a few seconds later the tuner will be set at the lowest SWR (almost instant for frequencies stored in memory).

  • Great value and works great
I needed a wider range tuner to match my IC 775 DSP to some antennas that were out of range of the 3:1built in tuner. This one does the job quickly and with little fuss. It hasn't failed on any reasonable attempt. I set by accident my 10 meter vertical while on 40 missing the Vertical it failed to match but it had to be extremely out of range my fault not the tuners. I caught it and was turned up and on the right antenna and 1:1.5 to one in under a second. It beats my old manual Versa Tuner in speed when you choose the right antenna hands down. ... show more

  • Perfect Tuner for your Amateur Radio Antenna needs.
This little antenna tuner replaces my old TenTec manual tuner that decided not to work any longer. I guess I didn't know what I was missing all these years with a automatic tuner versus the old school method that I had with the TenTec. Although the TenTec will survive many more output watts from larger transceivers, this little bugger will take 200watts continuous which ain't bad. My only complaint is the manual is not the easiest to understand when a unit like this has multiple process buttons to operate it. I resorted to LDG's YouTube channel to fill in the details which they did quite well. The unit can be used with two radio's via a direct link, one Yuasu and one Icom. But only those two and no others. As described in the title it is automatic and tunes when it senses a carrier wave. You will either have to whistle or talk for it to tune or you can use a More key or paddle or switch the mode to FM or AM in order to send the signal. Either way, it only takes, at the most, two seconds to tune a difficult antenna. Ideally, most trip-banders will not need a tuner, but if you have to tune a WARC band using the trip-bander, you will most likely need a tuner. The tuner is also good for wire antenna's either a G5RV or a Windom or a stealth wire with a balun. It runs off of 12vDC so will operate off of a car battery so can be used mobile which is good for those rascally whips. For the money and the size, I don't know how I got along without the LDG AT-2000PRO all these years. ... show more

  • Happy ham recommendation
So far so good. Working as advertised on coax fed 75 meter horizontal delta loop. Noisy but nice when it matches around the bands except. Loop not long enough for 160 meters.

  • Works great with my Icom IC-7300
The internal ATU on my IC-7300 wouldn't tune my vertical on 40 meters. The AT-200 integrates well with the 7300 and tunes both my end-fed wire and my vertical with no problems. Highly recommended.

  • Unfairly charged a 15% restocking fee after returning a defective item after 3 days.
Be cautious. I returned a defective item and ordered a replacement and was charged a15% restocking fee which I believe is unreasonable because the item was clearly defective. It failed to operated properly after 3 days. the replacement item is perfect.
