Update! I have had this pillow mask for a week now and wanted to add to my review. I added some rose oil to the one that was for my mom for her birthday and she loved it. However, for mine I tried something new. I opened up the zippers and put a drop each of rosemary oil, bulgarian rose oil, peppermint oil (and a drop of lavender oil if the buds start to fade, but I haven't had that happen yet) and I had to share this recipe because it was not only relaxing but also invigorating. Just ten minutes of wearing it and breathing in the aromatherapy and I felt brand new! Like I hadn't been kept up all night by my toddler ;) I can't recommend trying this enough. I love how customizable this eye pillow is and how you can open it up and add more aromas to it. You can keep it simple by just using the lavender buds or you can ad any combination of oils or herbs that help you. Rosemary, rose, peppermint and lavender just go really well together and restored my zapped energy. It even felt refreshing to my eyes after the air finally hit them again when I was finished wearing it. Original review: This is everything I looked for in a lavender eye pillow and more! I almost purchased one that would have been a huge mistake. It wasn't refillable, didn't have straps and wasn't made of real silk! I lay on my side on the couch so I needed one that wouldn't fall off of my face. I am so, so glad that I saw this one in the "Customers who looked at this item also..." section because this is exactly what I wanted! I would have been pleased enough if it was real silk, refillable and had straps. But it is so much more than that. Not only does the silk outer part have a tiny little zipper to change filling, but they also included yet another zippered pouch inside which is made of muslin(sp?). On top of that, they included 3 freebies! The gel eye mask will be so soothing for my headaches and when I am hot. Also came with a bag of extra lavender buds AND a bag of extra flax seed, that way you can adjust the weight AND smell. Although the product itself smells perfectly strong enough so I don't need to put the extra in, I will happily use it when the smell starts to fade and whatnot. The strap is soft, adjustable and comfortable. The smell is perfect and exactly what I wanted. Another thing I thought was cool is that the straps that come with the gel eye patch are removeable, so you can either wear it by itself or remove the straps and put it in the silk casing. Too cool. I had an issue with the shipping but I found out today it was on the end of USPS who did not scan the item when they received it, so my tracking number only said a shipping label was created and USPS was waiting on my order. After several days, I thought the package was lost or forgotten in an Amazon warehouse. I emailed both the seller and amazon and they were both super helpful, especially Asutra. Asutra offered to send me one directly since they didn't know what was going on at the Amazon warehouse/USPS and it had been an entire week since I placed the order. They really, really love and care about their customers. Amazon was nice and offered a refund but I told them no, I'd prefer the item and they said they'd follow up in 3 days. Well they checked my tracking right before it finally registered as in my town and gave me a full refund as they thought the item was still lost. I tried to email them back in time to stop the refund since it was no longer lost, but the refund went through. They emailed me back saying not to worry about it, it was for my inconvenience and to keep the item. I am currently trying to get a hold of the seller via email to offer them the money I got refunded from Amazon. I have no desire to have this item for free as I feel Asutra should be paid for their product and their customer service to me. Plus since they offered to send me another while the original item was lost I really, really don't want to have TWO of these eye pillows for free if they happen to have sent the second one.. I want them to have their money. Sure, it was a bit worrisome not knowing where my purchase was over a week after I ordered it, but they(the seller and amazon) have more than made up for the inconvenience of that. No email back, yet, but I do hope to hear from them soon so I can settle this with them! I plan on using this product 1. during restorative yoga poses at the end of my yoga sessions, 2. during meditation, 3. for headaches & congestion, and 4. to block the light because I often have to sleep during days when my toddler keeps me up all night. It's so hard to get in a nap when the sun is glaring through my curtain into my face. I will 100% buy from this seller again. If this is their only product(I haven't checked, yet) I will buy more of these as gifts for my friends and family. I think everyone can benefit from this soft, versatile and amazing eye pillow. (Edit: Okay so they do have other products! They have yoga mat cleaning sprays, soaps, pain relieving cream and stuff like that. This is my favorite type of eye mask. I first tried a similar mask years ago, bought it on impulse thinking it was silly I was getting it all. It was really similar to this but it was rectangular and just had an elastic strap to go around the head. I ended up loving it and had it for years. Eventually when that strap finally fell apart, I tried other types. One was soft but was only about 1/2 inch thick, I think I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond. Not heavy or thick enough. Another one I got was thicker and plumper but felt like it was filled with what you might fill a stuffed animal with. Still not heavy enough. My husband bought me one for Christmas... it was odd. It was kind of sculpted in such a way that there was no pressure on the eyes at all. It was also somewhat rigid so when I woke up in the morning I would have little marks on my face from the mask. I like having some pressure because I feel like somehow it keeps my eyes from becoming as dry in my sleep. I also think that my eyes look less puffy when I wake up with this type of mask. Plus it seems to calm me, (I have trouble sleeping). This one is great, just perfect. The pillow is silky and well made. The strap is nicely secured to the mask and is adjustable. It has a nice amount of filling inside. The flax conforms to the contours of the face and the lavender is awesome. The seller also includes a small packet of extra flax and lavender if you want to increase the weight of the mask or boost up the lavender fragrance. All the filling is in a separate little pouch inside the mask so you can take it out to wash the mask itself. It is just the right size and shape to keep out the light (my husband likes to watch TV as he falls asleep, which I hate). The shape of this one (because the first one was just rectangular) is definitely more effective for that purpose. I highly recommend. I actually think I might get one for my Mom. I find it funny that I have such strong feelings about an eye mask, but I really really like it. :) ... show more

I received one of these sleep masks as a gift and liked it so much I ordered another one so that I could wash one and let it air dry while wearing the other. I FIND IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SLEEP WITHOUT THIS MASK! The silk fabric is perfectly smooth. The elastic strap is easily adjustable and durable. The inner, zippered pouch of flax seeds and wonderfully-scented lavender is tidy and secure so that the contents don't escape. Extra pouches of each are generously provided in case you want more weight, which I found to be unnecessary, or to change out after the scent dissipates, again which I found to be unnecessary even after a year of using my first mask. The inner pouch slips out easily to wash the outer mask which I do by hand. It air dries quickly. The mask is shaped perfectly to block out every ray of light. Also included as an extra bonus is a gel mask. Both masks can be refrigerated or heated but NOT IN A MICROWAVE because of the zippers and the metal slide that enables the elastic to custom fit to your head. You must heat a washcloth or small hand towel in the microwave and leave either mask in it for a few minutes. This sleep mask has helped me significantly and I very highly recommend it. I’ve had chronic insomnia for years, my bed almost feels like a torture chamber. When I get up my eyes are inflamed and my shoulder joints extremely stiff and painful after a night of tossing and turning in an effort to find a comfortable position. No rest ! When I got this mask, I removed 2/3rds of the flaxseed/lavender from the inner sleeve and used as a sleeping mask. In the am, I felt rested in a way I hadn’t for ages (I won’t say I slept through the night), I got up when I was ready as opposed to being wide awake when the sun rose, my eyes looked NORMAL, and my shoulder pain was gone. I was WELL RESTED which is what a body needs. I bought 2 other masks to try-I’m returning them unopened. This one’s a KEEPER ! ... show more
