  • Problems with memory
Style: TUF Gaming X570-PRO WiFi
I bought this so I could use faster memory. I purchased TeamGroup 3600 MHz memory sticks (2 16gb) that were on the Asus approved list. The mb will not read the memory unless I go into overclocking and even then, it will not run at 3600. I have been a big Asus fan for a long time, but I am disappointed in the mb. I have done the latest updates on everything, including BIOS. ... show more

  • FACTORY BIOS FOR THIS SYSTEM IS WOEFULLY OUT OF DATE & NOT EASY TO UPGRADE TO CURRENT BIOS.
Style: TUF Gaming X570-PRO WiFi
This is a fairly good motherboard. Not by any means the best motherboard but good enough for most uses. Runs the 5900X Ryzen 9 processor out of the box. The CPU runs a little hot even in a case that has a gazillion fans installed. In my case I have six fans in addition to the CPU fans up and running. Air flow has been optimized, good cable management and the PC case is gi-normous. I don't get bad CPU \ GPU temps but I'd like to see CPU temps around 40C at rest in the bios. I'm getting 47C to 50C at rest in the bios which is too hot for me. I got a bigger case and a few more fans for my second PC build using this motherboard. Hoping the additional fans and space will give me cooler CPU temps. Brought a CPU air cooler with 2 sick monster sized fans onboard. Once this motherboard is properly set with bios updated to current I had no problems with Windows running on the system. Steam loves this motherboard. I do video editing everything is super fast with 32 GB of RAM installed using all four slots. I have 2, Two TB SSD NAND sticks one for OS, the other for video editor including its files and one 4 TB mechanical hard drive for game storage. I have a nice cheap 1080 TI video card that runs the old games I love. I am not a fan of the new video games that need a powerful $2,000 video card. This motherboard will run a quality GPU if they every come back down in price to something reasonable in cost. This motherboard is well laid out making it great for someone new to building their own PC. The heartache of connecting that bunch of tiny case connectors to the motherboard is easy because the pins are situated close to the edge of the board. Connect the case pins before installing the board in the case is the best option. The board has ample USB ports and room for the power supply and its mass of wires. I took a star off my final rating and a star each off easy to use and value for money because the bios updates are hellish. You must update the very old bios that comes with this motherboard in an odd collection of phases. You must load a very specific group of previous bios updates sequentially to reach the current bios. The bios update process for this motherboard gets infuriating as a result of laziness on the part of the people who make this otherwise great motherboard. ... show more

  • Love the board except two problems - Update
Style: TUF Gaming X570-PRO WiFi
I'll start with the one problem first. BIOS Flashback didn't seem to work after multiple attempts and I think the issue is the IO cover holes aren't cut correctly and press against the BIOS Flashback button. I ended up grinding the hole open and that seemed to work. The USB C3.2 also has the same issue. My cable keeps popping out. Other than that, this Motherboard is awesome. It has all the features that I could use with great cooling. two M.2 NVME slots and WIFI6 that is very very fast. I couldn't be more happy with Asus and would build another PC with their components. Updat - 7/12/2022 - It's just over 1yr and the Mobo is dying. Getting constant BSOD just minutes after starting. Mobo error lights say DRAM, then next time it says CPU then the next time its both. I replaced, ram, psu and GPU problem persist. When I managed to get it running by disconnecting the GPU I was able to do 5+ hours of CPU benchmarks and test. I'm in the middle of the RMA process which is a pain because I have to break down my PC. I'll Update after I get my motherboard back. October 2022 Update - The certified advance replacement motherboard board works. No more crashing. Since Asus did a poor job actually testing my board I had to ask for an Advance Replacement. Meaning I pay a hold fee for the cost of the board and I get it back when they receive my old MB back. This was the only way to ensure Asus didn't screw me twice. I change my review to only a 4 star this time. I still love the board, it has 8 ports, nice heat mostfet heatsinks and dual m.2 slots. My only gripe is Asus support sucks. I wasted 2+ months back and forth when I new 100% it was the board. I didn't let on with Asus until I needed to but I'm an IT system engineer and know how to troubleshoot faulty equipment. I even ran it by our enginee team who are all avid gamers and PC builders. My next MB is going to be an MSI. Although, at some point you'll have RMA issues with any vendor. Btw, I RMA my AMD processor because Asus said the board was fine. AMD did an outstanding job on my RMA. They took it back and sent me a brand new one. Even though we now know it was the Asus Motherboard that was defective. Anyways, ending my rant now. ... show more
