  • Works great with an AMD 8700g with double monitors
Style: ROG X870-A|WIFI 7
This is what a normal, standard motherboard for everyday task should be I don't play games Saying a motherboard is a gaming mobo is marketing crap just to charge a premium. Any computer playing a game is a gaming computer. Some s do it more efficiently than others. This mobo answers my need now and future. - I need usb-c with power delivery capability guarantee in the description. - This mobo has 2 x USB4 with display capability. Not all mobo has that function. Other than paying a premium price and taking longer to wake-up than a I7-6600, it's running great The mobo is in the white/silver tone. You will pay more to have the black version...... ... show more

  • Awesome Board
Style: ROG X870-A|WIFI 7
All the bells and whistles you could expect at this price point. Installation was easy. The bios is easy to navigate. The M2 slot is pretty awesome. All the RGB hookups you'll need. Supports 192GB ram, I got 96 right now but soon I'll fill it up. Slapped on a Ryzen 9 7950x3d and a gigabyte rtx4090. This machine puts out! I'll change this review if anything goes bad.. ... show more

  • Great Motherboard for Gaming. Purchased used like new.
Style: ROG X670E-A|WIFI 6E
I purchased this MB Used like new and it came exactly like that. I have been in IT for over 25 years so this is nothing new to me. I purchased the AMD Ryzen 7800X3D CPU and an ASROCK 7900XT Video Card. My case is the Hyte Y70 snow white. The ony other board that was truly on the white side with the 670 chipset was the way overpriced ASROCK Taichi. This Motherboard new is also over priced. That seem to be the theme now. SO this board fit the white theme. I have to say I'm impressed. No stability issues whatsoever. I have DDR5 6000 running at its rated speed and the CPU is auto overclocked. Running Windows 11 Pro 23H2. I have 2TB NVME in the 5.0 slot and its fast as ever and I have a 4TB game drive in the Second NVME slot. I have 50 games installed from Call of Duty's, Battlefield all the way to driving games. When games are full load the thermals will get to 70c and the fans ramp up to let it go no higher. This Board has BIOS flash and CMOS reset on the back panel which is a plus. The ASUS bios is easy to understand and has so many option for you to tinker with. If you mess it up just CMOS reset and start over. SO I do recommend this board but buy it as used or refurbed because I think the new prices is just ASUS overcharging. ... show more

  • Absolute garbage
Style: ROG X670E-A|WIFI 6E
This will likely be the last Asus product I ever buy. I have never had so many issues with a motherboard. The first one had to go through RMA because it was failing to detect my GPU correctly. The white QLED would stay on all of the time. Occasionally, it would fail to boot, and I could rarely get into the bio because it didn't register inputs in time. The RMA process was terrible, having to deal with them for hours just to get a RMA number, then wait weeks for the replacement board. I figured the replacement board would solve my problems, but guess what? It didn't fix any of those issues, and now I have an even worse issue with the network adapter just randomly failing to detect a wired connection. This board has been awful. I wish I had saved $100 and gone with a different brand. I will not shop with Asus ever again. Been dealing with ASUS "tech support" for nearly two weeks now on the issue of the network adapter. They promised a phone call, but never called me. The problem has steadily gotten worse and now the computer won't even boot. Been building computers for 15 years, and I've never run into this. Can't get into the bios to see what is going on. ASUS refuses to do anything. I just want my money back so I can go with a different company. ... show more

  • My Panda HYTE Y70 Case Build
Style: ROG X870-A|WIFI 7
I bought a HYTE Y70 Panda (white/black) case and this motherboard compliments the case perfectly! So far after a few days of testing, I have no issues with Windows 11 Pro. I am currently running a AMD 7900X CPU, RTX 4090 FE, 64g Corsair Vengeance ram, and a Asus Ryujin 360 AIO cpu cooler. I was previously using a Gigabyte B670 Gaming mobo and had issues with USB. So far with this Asus X870-A mobo my pc runs smoothly. The white and sliver coloring on this mobo is perfect if you have a white case. ... show more

  • Great X670E Board With Balanced I/O & Featureset
Style: ROG X670E-A|WIFI 6E
I purchased this from the Amazon Warehouse in "Used-Like New" condition. As you can see from the photos, this board was practically pristine! And for $288! I have the X670E-E variant, which also is an open-box pristine unit but from Micro Center a year ago for $375. These boards are similar, with the STRIX E model having beefier heatsinks for 3x Gen 5.0 x4 M.2s and more USB 3.2 ports, with the trade-off being the third M.2 splitting lanes with your x16_1 & x16_2 slots since they're sharing lanes from the CPU and not the chipset. The STRIX A gives you 2x Gen 5 and 2x Gen 4 (from the chipset), which means you won't split lanes from your GPU with any M.2. You also have a X1 slot between your two x16s instead of another x16 slot in x8 or x4 mode. This is great for me since I'd need to get a splitter and bifurcate the x16 slot to split lanes, which I don't plan on doing. Outside of some USB 2s in the rear and the lack of a POST code LED, this board as about every bit as capable as the STRIX E for less money. To be fair, this is pretty much an X670E-F with white/silver heatsinks instead. I'd also like to add that I have 2 kits of 32GB (2x16GB) G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 CL36-36-36-96 memory installed for a total of 64GB, with apparently EXPO II working exactly as intended (6000MHz or 6000MT/s), which has surprised me, but I'll update if I find any issues. All-in-all, if you can get this board at a good discount, go for it. I have it in my white Sliger Cerberus X with a white Silver Soul 135, which looks great. Really got the aesthetic I was going for. ... show more
