  • Hardest card to get MSRP, almost same price as the 3080 TI.
Style: Graphic Card
Performance is top notch, a bit more than than the vanilla 3080, less than the 3080TI. Prices are going down slowly, but buying this Strix 3080 12gb at premium for me is a money we'll spent. I could have gone for the TI {Strix} bit it's way out of my budget (saving for an ROG monitor). Wanted to complete my ROG build. Still rocking my 10 yr old ROG XONAR Phoebus Solo sound card. Build quality is AAA since I'm using everything Asus. Games is not a problem for this card with a i9-11900 non-k cpu. Card is beast! Beast in power and thermals. There's coil whine when on full load, which is negligible for me as my old Gigabyte 1080ti Around is much louder. This will be my card for a very long time. Deducting stars as price is almost the same as a TI and performance gains are minimal from 3080 10gb and TI. Still a GREAT card to buy if you have the money . ... show more

  • Good GPU but bad coil whine
Style: Graphic Card
The card is amazing. My motherboard was really old and rams as well as my cpu. I have to replace those things to fully benefit from the GPU. I don’t have money right now. So I returned it for that reason. And also because of coil whine noise from this GPU. I wanted to keep it for next year when I build a new P.C but new GPU around the corner so that’s probably not the smartest choice right now. ... show more

  • Its a RTX 3080 Super!
Style: Graphic Card
The media could not be loaded. This GPU is a tank. I am very impressed with the overclocking(OC), it was a bit of a surprise to see this card beat out the 3080 Ti FE pretty consistently. I posted a video with some scores in SuperP @ 1080p Max and Furmark @ 1440p. Overall, I would recommend this card. It had a bit of coil whine when brand new, but after breaking in for a couple of weeks, its gone and pretty quiet and cool, max temps on benchmarks being 67 degrees. ... show more

  • Everything and more
Style: Graphic Card
This is everything one could hope for in a GPU (12gb gddr6x ram) awesome clock speeds, 3 fan cooler. It games well, stays very cool while running AAA titles on ultimate/high graphics settings with ray tracing. It gets a little noisy but noise is fine if they card is staying cool. It's an absolute monster, enormous card, 3-slot GPU (though only need to remove 2 pci-e external access panels). One more important note this card requires 3 x 8pin ATX power connection. So a standard 8pin to dual 8pin and another 8pin to 8pin works just fine. And it runs fine on my EVGA G3 750w Platinum Plus PSU ... show more

  • A Quiet, Cool, and Fast Performer, but VRAM Struggles at 3440x1440
Style: Graphic Card
I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on the Asus Strix 3080 12 GB video card, and let me tell you, it's a beast of a graphics card. In summary, it's quiet, cool, and fast, but it does have its limitations. Pros: 1. Silent Operation: The first thing that struck me about this card is how incredibly quiet it is. The advanced cooling system keeps the fans running smoothly, and even under heavy load, the noise is barely noticeable. This is a massive plus for anyone who values a peaceful gaming experience. 2. Impressive Cooling: The Asus Strix design is known for its exceptional cooling, and this card lives up to the reputation. The massive heatsink and triple-fan setup keep the temperatures in check, ensuring your GPU stays cool even during extended gaming sessions. No overheating worries here! 3. Blazing Fast: When it comes to gaming performance, the Asus Strix 3080 12 GB doesn't disappoint. It's a powerhouse, delivering stunning visuals and buttery-smooth gameplay. At 3440x1440 resolution, you can play most games close to maxed out settings without breaking a sweat. It handles ray tracing like a champ, too. Cons: 1. VRAM Limitations: While the 12 GB of VRAM might sound like a lot, it can struggle at 3440x1440 in some of the latest games with high-resolution textures and complex scenes. You might find yourself dialing down a few settings in games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Red Dead Redemption 2 to maintain a consistent frame rate. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's worth noting if you're gaming at this resolution. In conclusion, the Asus Strix 3080 12 GB is a fantastic graphics card that excels in providing a quiet, cool, and fast gaming experience. If you're gaming at 3440x1440, be prepared to make some minor adjustments in demanding titles due to the VRAM limitations. Despite this drawback, it remains a top-tier GPU that will undoubtedly elevate your gaming adventures. ... show more

  • GPU goes BZZZZzz
Style: Graphic Card
As the title states this card has a pretty hearable buzzing noise while underload (coil whine). If you are a headphone and closed case user, it might not bother you while gaming or hearing anything trough the headphones. since it doesn't mean it's going to break or anything it's not a negative point for me. Now another thing you might want to know, this GPU gets hot, real quick while running heavy games or RTX to the point it holds at 74C, running from 1900~1980 MHz (stock). so, I suggest to undervolt this GPU to give a better hold in the temps and expand the lifespan of the card. keep in mind in the photos I switched the profile of the GPU (I know it has a memory clock 100 MHz higher of stock, my mistake on that) was taken about 30 seconds apart while running the game live to give time to cool a bit while remaining under load. Holds temps around 63 to 66 when undervolted and 72 to 75 at stock depending on the game running (heavy games at max) Game: Resident Evil Village VIII running at max settings in "Super Quality" fidelity fx, RTX ON in a1440p@144fps monitor, GPU: 3080 12GB LHR I did the undervolt to extend the GPU life and decrease the fluctuation in MHz of the stock profile. Got this card for $800 before the 40xx announcement, I'm happy with the opportunity I had to get this card after years and years of saving and looking for this beauty of a card. might see myself looking for a GPU in around 5 years since my past GPU "1080 STRIX" still functional after 5 years of service, now is due to go on my racing sim build I have in mind in the near future. ... show more
