  • Impressive Motherboard
I was very impressed with this motherboard right out of the box. It felt very solid and somewhat heavy. Moreover, apart from the many features you have probably already read about in the description, it includes a DIMM.2 bay. My initial thought was, how am I going to use this without an adapter? However, Asus includes the adapter inside the box. You can basically put 2 NVMe PCIe Gen 3.0 together in it and possible create a RAID 0? Who knows; The possibilities are endless. One thing I noticed with this board is that if you are planning to use the M.2 bays, which are located in between the PCIe slots, make sure to enable them in the BIOS first. I spent quite some time trying to figure out why my drive was not being recognized on the BIOS, and of course, it was due to it not being enabled. In addition, this motherboard comes with a very nice LED screen that can be customized to show any data that might be of interest to see. It also shows useful temperature and voltage processor information out-of-the-box. CONS: I have found that the PCIe bays are spaced out in a way that could be an issue if you are planning to use dual video cards. I have an ATX Mid Tower (Model NZXT H710), so if I were to put the video card in the last PCIe slot, chances are that it would not fit... This would also depend on the size of the video card you are trying to put in it of course. Lastly, I noticed that Windows 10 (even the latest version of the OS) won't recognize any of the hardware related to this board, including the network cards, so it is very important that you either download the drivers from the vendor website or use the usb stick that comes inside the box if using slighly outdated drivers. ... show more

  • Unstable mess.
This review is probably geared towards Amazon.com more than ASUS. I believe Amazon has broken my board during delivery or something. Hard to believe ASUS would ship something this bad out. I've built my own gaming PCs for 10 years. This is the first time I've had such a lemon of a board that appears to be "working" and only at random points "breaks" in some capacity. Not only does the BIOS corrupt itself requiring a clear of CMOS but it also corrupts any ssd you plug into it at random. The built in ASUS armory LAN driver it attempts to install instantly bricks, windows 10 1800, 1900, and 21H2 versions. You can never boot into them again. Just fully dead drives. Even the recovery media usb will BSOD when trying to interact with it. Attempting to install any graphics driver from Nvidia does the same thing. Linux Mint Mate 20.3 also suffers from hardware failure / incompatibility errors on boot that corrupt the grub or lead to full system freezes resulting in a corrupted linux install that's unbootable. I've taken this board to repair tech that has helped me over the years with similar issues. They have never seen a board do this and are completely stumped. I do not want to return this board as I had 2 DOA Gigabyte z590 extreme boards from amazon back to back just last month. This is my 3rd motherboard purchase from Amazon. So far it's been a nightmare. I'm 3 months into this project, $1800 dollars spent into motherboards and no working PC. IDK if this is Amazon's fault or the manufacturer. The bios constantly corrupts itself between PC restarts depending on what PCIe or usb ports of occupied. Ridiculous. The integrated graphics out ports only work for a few PC restarts if you clear CMOS and then manually enable it. Then it stops working and defaults back to GPU only mode. The m.2 slots are misleading in marketing. Only 1 of them can be enabled if you have dual GPUs. If you enable both GPUs then only m.2 enabled is kicked down to 2x mode and the 2nd GPU is kicked down to 4x mode. The main is kicked down to 8x mode. All around it degrades the hell out of performance. What's even the point of providing these features if you gimp them so much. Overlocking settings on auto also corrupt the BIOS. idk why. Doesn't matter which BIOS version I use. Only thing that sometimes doesn't break the BIOS is full disabling the overclock settings including XMP or simply just pinning the CPU at a factory boost clock speed. Which is NOT overclocking. Don't even bother to manual overclock, your settings on the BIOS will erased between PC restarts at random when the BIOS breaks. Does not recognize Samsung M.2 ssd every time either. It's random. Drive works in other PC no issues. ... show more

  • Very Powerful and Sturdy Motherboard
I gotta say, this motherboard is amazing!!!! Now keep in mind this an E-ATX motherboard so it kinda big. But my goodness does it feel nice and heavy and the build quility is amazing. Also if you buy this and use more than 1 NVME, please go into the bio and enable the NVME setting. For some reason these boards ship with NVME disable which is kinda ugh!!! Besides that this is the best you can do for a powerful motherboard!!!! ... show more

  • The was a good purchase but it came with issue
When I purchased this motherboard, didn't know it came with some issue, so I contacted Asus to get it repaired not knowing the pin in the socket was bent a bit, so I ended up paying for the repair, and then from there been having some weird issue after that where the USB port was having the issue and then have it sent back for repair and then this time not sure either they replace or fix the motherboard. This time the B1 and B2 RAM slots is not working since I can boot my machine with either slot filled ... show more
