The AstroAI Tire Inflator Air Compressor 12V DC Portable Air Compressor 100PSI with LED Light works exactly as it should for topping off low tires, bicycle tires, balls, small jobs, etc. The digital PSI read out appears to be accurate and the unit automatically shuts off when the desired pressure is reached. My purchase price was $22. When purchasing this item, think small and keep in mind that it is designed for small jobs such as bicycle tires, basketballs, footballs, small pool floats/balls, topping off low automobile tires, etc. This unit is not intended to completely pump up a flat or nearly flat vehicle tire. It is not intended to pump up a stand up paddle board or kayak (even though you can purchase adapters for that). I topped off all four Honda Ridgeline tires (each was 1-5 PSI low) in about 7 minutes and this includes moving the unit. It took about 10-15 seconds for each PSI and the unit did not get hot to the touch at all. The power cord is plenty long enough to reach all four tires from the center console 12 volt power supply. The LED light came on each time I powered the unit on and seemed adequate for nighttime use. Very simple to use; attach the air hose to the tire stem, set the desired PSI, turn the unit on and the tire begins inflating. I bought this to leave in my car and top off my tires when needed. It worked flawlessly to top off all four of my tires. Just set the air pressure to desired level and turn on. It automatically stops when it’s reached your setting. And it was quick, less than a minute to go from 28 to 35 psi. The power cable is long enough for my car, a Subaru Forester. I plugged it into the center console and had to run it out each door nearest the tire. I like how compact it is, I store it in the compartment right above my spare tire. I have one of these already, and was going to buy another (one for each car) but the other brand is no longer available. After doing some research, I selected the Astro AI. It is very easy to use, and the built in stop at selected pressure is dead on (both the car and my manual gauge verify the PSI is accurate. Get yourself one of these for when you find yourself with a low or flat tire. Most tires lose 1 to 3 pounds of pressure a month, so I also use it to keep them at the optimal pressure, or add pressure for when the temperature drops. ... show more

I have a slow leak in one tire and wanted to have something portable on hand for quick fills. Tire pressure had gotten down to 15psi. This little machine had it up to 38 again in 2 minutes. I don't know how long it will last but I'm happy with it right now for the cost.

    • This Little Compact Tire Inflator/Air Compressor Is A Beast!

The media could not be loaded. All four tires on my suv were extremely low and needed air. I did a lot of research on air inflators and decided to get this one because of all the great reviews. I ignored the bad reviews, however, I was still a little skeptical wondering if this little gadget could actually handle the task without the motor burning up. Wow, I’m pleasantly surprised at how amazing this little tire inflator/air compressor works! It was very easy to operate. I didn’t even read the directions. While my suv was running, I plugged the inflator into my cigarette lighter socket. I then clicked the plus sign on the digital display to set the required 26 psi I needed for my tire. I then attached the inflator’s clip on hose to my tire and it showed 16 psi. I turned the air inflator/compressor on and it started quickly inflating my tire. Once it reached 26 psi, it automatically shut off. It only took one minute and thirty seconds to inflate my tire from 16 psi to 26 psi. (Watch Video) I proceeded to inflate my other three tires and the inflator kept working flawlessly without overheating. I’m totally shocked at how amazingly fast this little inflator works! It only took approximately six minutes to inflate all four tires on my suv. What I like - - Quiet operation - Auto shutoff - Digital screen - Led light is very bright - Long cord at almost 12 feet long - Clip on tire nozzle - Runs continuously without overheating - Includes several Inflator nozzles for other objects - Includes a fuse Some of the inflators/compressors on Amazon have a screw on tire nozzle, but this one is a clip on. I really like this feature because I find that the clip on nozzles have a better seal when inflating the tire. **Suggestion** - I would suggest getting a Heavy-Duty Cigarette Lighter Plug, and Female Socket with Battery Clamps. Type that into Amazon and you will find a ton of them. You will be able to connect the air compressor/inflator to your vehicle’s battery instead of your cigarette lighter socket. This will keep you from possibly blowing a fuse. (If you do decide to buy one of these, make sure the battery clamps are of good quality). I bought one, (Heavy-Duty Cigarette Lighter Plug, and Female Socket with Battery Clamps), but I forgot to bring it along with me. I drove to a gas station and inflated my tires there, just in case the inflator stopped working or didn’t work at all. I didn’t want to be stranded far away from an air hose. :) **WARNING** This isn’t a dislike, but actually a warning! Be very careful when unplugging the inflator/compressor cord from your cigarette lighter socket after inflating your tire(s)!! I accidentally touched the metal piece on the plug & it was very hot!! Thankfully, I pulled my hand away fast enough & didn’t get a nasty burn. This is another reason for suggesting the Heavy-Duty Cigarette Lighter Plug, and Female Socket with Battery Clamps. This cord will keep fuses from blowing on some vehicles because of the plug getting super, red hot in the cigarette lighter socket while inflating tire(s). ... show more
