Description

The current flagship model announced from ASRock's X870E line-up for Ryzen 9000 is the ASRock X870E Taichi. ASRock is advertising a large 27-phase power delivery through 110A SPS, suggesting this board is designed for overclockers and all-around power users. Two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots (operating in either x16/x0 or x8/x8) provide high-speed bandwidth for cutting-edge graphics cards and other devices. Meanwhile, ASRock has gone with 4 DIMM slots on this board, so system builders will be able to max out the board's memory capacity at the cost of bandwidth.

Style: Pro RS
Looks amazing and does everything I need

  • basic board but works well
Style: Steel Legend
I selected this after some research and am satisfied so far. Could use more pcie slots, but I don't really need more than 1 for a vid card. With a rizen 9 it works very fast. Good budget board. Would suggest to anyone with similar needs.

  • " " " Affordable " " " AM5 Beast
Style: Pro RS
The Good: - extremely detailed enthusiast board with seemingly endless configuration options - top of the line features for futureproofing at an " " "Affordable" " " entry point to AM5 socket - tons of features (OC, EXPO, storage, fan profiles etccccc) - solid hardware compatibility (high speed DDR5, mass storage interfaces, PCI-E 5) - good looking piece of hardware, high build quality and attention to detail The Bad: - Bios UI is... unforgiving, at least having never owned an ASRock board - you will reminisce about MSI's bios interface then remember the AM5 MSI reviews - you will be visiting the Bios a LOT to get the most out of your system - while in the Bios you will realize this is the real OS you were always meant to be using all along - you will visit Amazon.com from the Bios just to review this board - the color isn't really white, its more silver for the heatsinks and like a weird matte white backplate The Ugly: My experience and expectations from this product: Migrated old Win10 install with all data from an older Z390 Intel system. It both worked without a Bios update, and a fresh Bios was already available from ASRock by the time I received the item. Aside from minor self-induced setup hick-ups the motherboard has been an absolute beast seamlessly handling all of my old data and combination of old and new hardware. Given this is an X870 board I have high expectations for AM5 and PCI-E 5 compatibility and expect to upgrade the CPU and GPU a few years down the line. ... show more

  • Great Motherboard and Easy to understand BIOS setup
Style: Steel Legend
Worked wonderfully with my 9800X3D cpu. No issues at all as opposed to my previous ASUS board. Make sure you update your BIOS to the latest version before you start installing operating system, as with all motherboards.

  • I really like this board
Style: Pro RS WiFi
Chose this board after multiple MSI duds. New board needed only a couple driver updates. Bios didnot need to be flashed. Build quality excellent, ease of installation very easy, functionality work for everything I needed

  • Good, But One Major Caveat
Style: Pro RS
Nice quality board for the price. Has all the features I'm looking for. However... My 4090 covered up the only PCI slot, which I was planning on using for my Wi-Fi card... I did not have this issue with my previous board (Intel Z790). Despite that nuisance, it still is a good board. I personally like the ASRock UEFI too. ... show more
