  • Powerful and efficient CPU
The best CPU available today hands down. Uses barely any power while destroying any other CPU on the market. This one is also significantly better for productivity compared to its predecessor 7800x3d and supports full unlocked overclocking, resulting in even better performance and less temps when undervolting. ... show more

  • The CPU I have been waiting for.
I bought this processor as an upgrade from a 5800X3D I've been using since it first came out, which is still a pretty good CPU. It performs as expected, scores great in benchmarks just like the reviews. Overclocking it was pretty straightforward, I'm using a 5.4ghz fixed clock rate OC. Even though it's overclocked I'm still using less voltage and watts than stock settings, which is nice. That's a big reason I wanted the 9800X3D was the unlocked clocks. Obviously the product is in high demand right now. I ordered directly from Amazon with it being put on back order. I knew that would be the best way to lock in MSRP for it. After some time patiently waiting I finally received the 9800X3D and I think it was worth the wait. I also believe that after the holiday demand that availability will come back. It's the best gaming processor on the market right now, easy 5/5. ... show more

  • The best of the best
This is an incredible CPU. Running rtx3080ti and on most games the GPU is maxed out at 100% usage and the CPU is chilling at 50C 40% usage. Sounds overkill? No! This CPU is a must for anyone into CPU intensive games; FS2024, BeamNG, Arma Reforger, VR (yes VR, do research to understand why)...etc. The beauty of having a strong CPU is that if a game is unoptimized, you can play around with the graphic settings and see proper adjustments. When I had my 5900x before, it as nearly impossible to get better FPS, as you cannot change the fundamental computing process to a game. And if you're wondering? No it does not run hot! (If properly applied). My 5900x was always running at 85C at 100% (undervolted), this thing runs at 75C at 100% auto OC'ed. It's incredible. (Using Corsair CaprillX 380 cooling block) So, overall... into CPU intensive games? THIS IS A MUST!! Save your money from buying too crazy of a GPU and put more of that money to this guy... it's worth it! ... show more

  • Best Gaming CPU money can buy!
Absolutely love this CPU. Removes any sort of CPU bottlenecking for games such as CS or Civilization. Super happy with the over clocking features, the more power efficient chip, and the cooler temps. Running this CPU with an AIO and getting super cool temps on idle and during harsh gameplay! So glad AMD came through on this one, excited to keep tinkering to get better performance. Although I would suggest probably going with cheaper AMD CPU options, there is no way to claim this CPU isn’t impressive. Super thankful for being able to snag this product for retail: anything over is crazy and not worth it in my opinion, just get a 7600x and save the money to dump into a better graphics card rather than pay exorbitant scalper fees. Overall, highly suggest if you can get it for retail, or if you are looking to upgrade to AM5. If not, just stick with cheaper options. ... show more

  • Amazing performance & efficiency
This is the best gaming CPU that money can buy as of late 2024. Performance is stellar in every game as well as non-gaming tasks. It has a lot of potential for overclocking and undervolding. It runs very cool with a dual tower air cooler. You don't need liquid cooling for this. If you can find one in stock for MSRP, go for it. ... show more

  • Fast and cool
Probably the best CPU I've ever purchased and my first AMD. Extremely fast and runs so much cooler than other brands. It'll last me for years.

  • Best of the Best
Bought mine for $688 after tax. This is quite the expensive CPU, however I'm sure this CPU will be future proof for probably a decade. Meaning if it lasts me 10 years, I'm only paying about $.19/day for this beast. Pros: Best CPU in the world for consumers. No issues, works perfectly and beyond. Cons: Expensive, wouldn't recommend buying +$700. ... show more

  • Ridiculous power and efficiency
It auto OCed with one click to 5.4 and it has no issues maintaining that. I could go higher if I wanted but I don't see the need or want to tinker with it. I put a dirt cheap tower cooler on it. Only 23 bucks for a Thermalright Peerless Assassin ARGB. In games It easily sticks around 70-75c. Never goes above 75c except for spikes. This CPU has allowed for the smoothest gaming experience I've ever had as my 1% Low FPS is incredibly high. Quit fooling yourself, just buy this CPU. ... show more
