Because this thing is heavy! The hardest part of assembly was freeing it from the box, after that the process was straight forward. It is comfortable, quiet and works well s l o w l y. The materials seem to be of suitable quality for a recliner. I found no defects, surprisingly for a product of China. It came in one box, well packed and protected, but HEAVY. If you don't have access to an appliance dolly, be sure to have a friend to help. The only improvement I could suggest would be to have lighted remotes. The one that controls the vibration and heat is acceptable, but the one that controls the chair's movement is dark on dark. Overall I am pleased with the purchase. I am only 5'6" and 200 lbs and the chair is almost too roomy. I would hazard to guess another 4 to 6 inches would be the sweet spot for this throne. As an example my head does not reach the "pillow" section of the upholstery when seated or reclined. Although I don't yet need the assistance in exiting the chair, I find that a little nudge in that direction allows me to put my feet on the floor. Otherwise I feel like a child on Santa's lap! Very happy with the recliner. It is very comfortable. Easy to assemble. Exactly as described. Lays flat. Stops at any angle you want. The rise is perfect. Easy to get out of. In general I would echo the Feb 20 2023 review. Upside: I ordered the orange color-it looks exactly like the photo supplied by ASHOMELI. Very handsome chair- well-built- steel frame. Attractive appearance! Up-side: I'm 5'10" 225 lbs/wide hips. The chair is very comfortable-a bit on the firm side-perfect for me. The motor is audible but quiet and reasonably fast. If you need a Real massage-of course you need to go to an actual masseuse. Expecting the same from a chair is not realistic. The auto-default start-up mode is odd & useless but the other modes are good-definitely relaxing. Heat is a bit slow but good/very good! Neutral: I have hard-wood floors. If you do as well, check the chair base measurements and have a rectangular rug to place the heavy base on. Otherwise-it's immobile-too heavy. As mentioned- it does not recline as far back as my prv.two manuals. It's not for sleeping in-I knew that. Fully reclined it is very comfortable and easy to see TV. The foot-rest ideally would be two inches longer. Be aware-there is no easy way I can imagine of getting out of the chair once even partially reclined. You must use button & move the chair forward to exit. If you get up and move around frequently or live alone-definitely keep that in mind. A problem in UN-likely event the motor fails or power goes out. The tab-like buttons for forward/back & recline are built-in the side- not in the remote. Probably almost all chairs the same. The massage-heat functions Auto-shut-off after 15 minutes. No problem except start-up mode is annoying. Watch some of the endless Youtube videos from different companies. With Amazon-I think you generally get what you pay for. Down-side: The remote attaches with a coiled cord from the back-base of the chair. If you only use your left arm-this chair is not for you. The remote goes easily in/out of the side-pocket. The builder could have made the cord it 3-4" longer! The modes on the remote are Not back-lit- Completely UN-readable without a flash-light-it's a guessing game-but not hard to figure out. Assembly is a one-time event- I've learned to expect close to useless printed assembly instructions- luckily there are many helpful ones on Youtube. It's a two-person job- or one very strong young person- it's 100 lbs and most of that is the steel base/motor. Last point- the USB plug slot is directly in-between the two movement buttons. I won't be using it. It is invisible once seated. Probably the same with many other chairs. Bottom line-I no longer drive & needed a new chair ASAP. If I drove and had more time I would have tried several chairs first. I would have ended up buying a quality manual chair -perhaps via Amazon-for two features: a chair with a swivel base and a deeper recline. I will likely buy a 2nd recliner as I do not like sofas of any size. Additional recliner will be manual. Nice to have this one- I see a possible left shoulder surgery in my future. *This chair would be useless if right arm is injured. ... show more

I bought this for my mother, who unfortunately is an Italian PITA. She is overweight and getting ready for an abdominal wall reconstruction. Her body habitus was not right for this chair and she complained immediately. That being said, the chair was amazing...extremely comfortable and worked as advertised. Extremely easy to put together, shipping was perfect. Being that this is around Christmas and sellers are getting out packages as fast as they can, it arrived in perfect condition. I bought two of these chairs. The second one came with a different and USED remote. Not happy. Can’t get an easy fix. They will send me a label to return but how do I without a box. Also did not come with directions to assemble.

This chair is so soft and comfortable! I ordered this chair because I have Parkinson's and it is difficult to sleep lying flat. This chair allows me to control the angle of the backrest and footrest separately. Which is perfect for adjusting the chair to fit all my needs. The heat and message helps greatly with the muscle spasms and restless leg syndrome. The metal base under the chair is equal to the bottom of the chair providing a sturdy foundation for lifting. The high end REAL leather gives this chair a classy look. All in all, I highly recommend this chair for its soft, adjustable comfort. ... show more
