The Ashley Hearth Products AW2020-P wood stove is a medium size plate steel wood stove with outstanding heating capabilities. This unit will heat up to 2,000 sq. ft. of your home with 89,000 BTUs of heat from America's oldest sustainable resource, wood. The spacious 2.0 cubic foot firebox will accept logs up to 21 inches in length, increasing burn time and decreasing time spent refueling the stove. This stove meets the stringent requirements of the EPA "Step 2" 2020 Certification Guidelines. The AW2020-P is mobile home approved for USA only. This is a testament to the AW2020-P's efficiency, safety, and low environmental impact. Not only does the AW2020-P have a low carbon footprint but it also has an elegant, larger glass door that provides ease of loading logs up to 21 inches in length. • Amazing stove
Wow, what a stove. I installed it after my Franklin stove cracked. I was afraid it wouldn't be good for the low cost, but I'm thrilled. So much more efficient than my old stove.

  • Worst wood stove EVER
I am leaving a bad review as a life long wood burning person. I have had a wood stove since I can remember. So don't give me any comments about not knowing what I'm doing. I have even cut down trees and hauled my own wood. 1st it does not heat a home of 2000sq'. My house is 1995sq'. I have to plug in an electric heater in different rooms if I want to stay warm. 2nd it is not easy to start or keep a fire going. I know how to start a fire in a wood stove. I have even used some boyscout juice and it still won't light. 3rd it doesn't hold enough wood to get through the night. And a 21" log???? Please not even 4th and most IMPORTANTLY WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR TO PUT IN MORE WOOD HOT LOGS OR COALS WILL FALL OUT!!! I almost had a logs fall on me this morning. Good thing I opened the door carefully!! If I get burnt or my new floors and rug get ruined I will sue this company. Horrible design!! Oh and trying to get a refund is ridiculous. Called the company and got a recording that they were closed, WHAT? I live in central time and they were closed at 4PM??? So wish me luck to get my money back. ... show more

  • Read the instructions on building a fire.
It takes a little getting used to building a fire in this stove. Once you get the hang of it, it burns nicely.

  • Great Stove - will not heat what it says
We have used this stove for 2 seasons now (burn daily from October - March). This has held up great. There were no issues with delivery, it came on time and in great condition. Installation was easy following the directions and we added the outside air intake system which makes a big difference when starting a fire or opening the damper to re-ignite the fire. The inside firebox is 23 inches wide which is plenty big (you can fit a 24 inch log diagonal if you need to). We use this in a 400 sq ft room and this stove has no problem keeping it warm (this stove is overkill for this size room) . I would agree with the other reviewers that this would not heat the advertised 2000 sq foot room. I removed a star for this reason. All and all, I am very happy with this stove and it was a great purchase. ... show more

  • Time will tell.
I must say that I am disappointed in the build of the stove. It appears to be pretty lightweight in its construction. Maybe it's just that it is lighter in its build than the other stoves that I have had or been around. It will take a while to really be able to evaluate the stove. It is substantially lighter of build. Also it is made in China. Office is in Tennessee. ... show more

  • Extreme Poor Quality, Weak Thin Metal, Crushed In Transit! Avoid!
This is one of the poorest constructed wood stoves I have ever laid eyes on. It came severely damaged. Essentially it was crushed and that was due to the poor material quality and construction. The metal was so thin on the base it felt like sheet metal ductwork for your home HVAC system. No welds holding it together at all just one or two sheet metal screws. The firebox was so poorly made, that door would not even close without a lot of force....it looked like it was bent as well. Avoid this brand at all costs! ... show more

  • Does not heat up to 2,000 sf
Bottom-line: If you want to heat more than 1, maybe two rooms in your home (500-800 sf total), then look for a larger wood stove. I installed the AW2020-E model in the family room of my house, and the amount of heat it produces pales in comparison to the old 1980's wood stove I previously had in the same space. I also installed a fresh air supply to this 2020-E/P model in hopes it would improve the heat output, but it still does not produce nearly enough heat to heat the family room of my house. The main advantage to the AW2020-E appears to be it burns about 70% of the wood volume compared to my old stove. The trade-off appears to be this new stove produces only 60-70% of the amount of heat as my old wood stove. Overall, the quality is fine, but the advertised ability of this wood stove to heat 2,000 sf is truly exaggerated. ... show more
