It is very difficult to find solid wood furniture these days, and almost never in this price point. So I knew it was NOT real wood when I ordered it. I feel like it is sturdy enough for the purpose of holding clothing, it has a pleasing look (my daughter's room is very western themed), it arrived within a week of me ordering it and it came assembled. UPDATE: So, after a.month I finally brought it in the house. The smell hs decreased a lot and is tolerable. I think it will eventally fade away. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This dresser is well made, the drawers glide smoothly and silently. The appearance is very nice but it has a strong smell. I have been airing it out in my garage for almost a month and it still smells of glue and particle board or cardboard. I.am not sure which but I can't bring it in the house. I hope the smell will fade enough for me to actually be able to use it. I don't want to return it because it is so big I am sure it would be a nightmare trying to send it back. I really like it, but so far I can't use it. 😕 ... show more

The Ashley Furniture Signature Design - Trinell Chest - 5 Drawers - Nailhead Accents - Rustic Brown was delivered on time by XPO Logistics. I looks good. Good constuction. Nice coloring. The bad thing was it was delivered without the handles for the five drawers. When I contacted Ashley Furniture, I was told to contact only Amazon. When I contacted Amazon, I was told to give them the Model number and Serial number. I didn't even know that Furniture came with Model numbers and Serial numbers. It looks like Amazon and Ashley Furniture are not going to help me get the handles that I paid for. ... show more

This came faster then expected - by 2 weeks by the estimated arrival date. The dresser comes intact in a huge box - the only thing you have to do is screw on the handles. Delivery is by a furniture company but they don’t unpack it for you. I recommend using 2 people because it is very well packed and attached to a piece of a wood pallet for extra sturdiness - so you will have to out the box on its side to get all the staples out. I was very impressed with how well it was packed, and the dresser is absolutely beautiful. The drawers are very smooth moving also.
