I bought this one for two main reasons: 1. the amount of water it holds is amazing. 2. I couldn't find another diffuser that had on/off options outside of the dumb predefined 1 hour, 3 hour 6 hour options. I will give the product 5 stars when they address these issues with the app: MAJOR ISSUES: 1. you are limited to "30 SCHEDULES" total. This is a pointless limitation that really unnecessary because if you want to schedule it to come on for 15 minutes every hour, you need to schedule it to come on AND schedule it to turn off. using up two of the meaningless 30 total "schedules" you have available. So in reality, you really only have 15 on/offs you can schedule. So the minimum they should have given was at least 48 (at least two for each hour) or have the option to turn on a timer on each scheduled on... but still, why even set a limit? and one so low? 2. The scheduling for the light and the spray are two different functions but they share the same 30 total "schedules". So if you set it to turn on and off every 1/2 hour from 8am to 10pm... you've used up all your times on the spray and you have no timers left for the lights 3. The Light timers allows you to select a fixed Light option but not even a basic option of color. even having like 6 main colors to pick from after selecting fixed would be way better. 4. If you turn on the timer at all, it doesn't reset unless you go in and click "on" under the timer option and then above that you have to click a different button above the time options to turn the diffuser spray back off. It's not very intuitive when they simply could have put a "no timer" option in the popup menu and not say "on". 5. The "fix light" on and "nightly" schedule on options don't work. It always comes on as gradient and nothing else... even if you've selected fixed or nightly. 6. when I try to turn the light on via alexa, again all it can do is turn on "gradient" and not a specific color. even if you previously had a fixed color selected, it doesn't ever return to that color. So i GUESS it's ok that they share the same 30 schedules because the light scheduler is mostly pointless. ... show more

Initially I wanted and was looking at glass diffusers when I ran across this Asakuki model. It holds 700ml water while most diffusers hold 200ml to 400ml. Even though it is plastic the plastic is safe enough to use making baby bottles plus did I mention it holds 700ml water? That is huge. This diffuser is manufactured in China but designed in Japan, known for attractive simple designs that will fit in anywhere. That is an apt description of this diffuser. It is simple, attractive and would look good anywhere in any room in the house. Additionally it runs for a very long time. I planned to use the diffuser for my indoor "garden" even though I could not use essential oils in it. Apparently the steam is not safe for cats as it gets on their fur which they then lick off. That meant I would be using the diffuser as a humidifier only (no room for a room sized model). The rotation of light is very pleasant. I personally do not hear any sounds from it while it is running. Cleaning once a week is recommended and those instructions are included in a little instruction booklet included in the shipping box. The cleaning process is easy and not very time consuming. Now to operating this 5-star diffuser. I add this section in case the learning curve is as as confusing for any future purchasers as it was for me! It has 3 tabs on the bottom. Tab 1 regulates the lights. Tap it once and the rotating lights start. If the user wants to set the light on a specific color then when the rotation reaches that color quickly tap the button again. To turn the light off hold the button down briefly until the lights stop completely. The light button has no effect on the steam. Next the third tab regulates the steam. Tap once and the steam starts (assumed from the instruction booklet to be continuous steam running). Tap second time for one hour run time, tap again to get 3 hours run time, 4th tap is 6 hours run time. Tap again (5th tap) turns the steam off. I rarely use the 2nd (middle tab) because it controls how much steam comes out. For me just tapping the 3rd tab once to start the steam is thick enough for me. Each tap on the middle tab will increase the thickness of the steam. My practice run indicated that each tap of that middle tab will increase the steam to the point it looks like a smokestack! The water receptacle part of the diffuser holds a lot of water (well 700ml) and has a fill line mark which the booklet indicates should not be passed. The diffuser automatically stops running when it runs out of water. Since one should not get the cord wet, the booklet recommends emptying from the left side. That's about it except to reiterate that I really, really like both the look and the function of this diffuser. I'd buy it again in a nano second. A great diffuser and a great purchase. ... show more

I wanted to purchase a good essential oil diffuser so I started by buying the top of the line Vitruvi aesthetic best diffuser, over $100. Well, on 3rd use it stopped outputting vapor. I promptly returned it for a full refund and searched for another diffuser. I decided to go cheapest yet efficient sounding diffuser I could find & research on Amazon. I settled on this, under $30 diffuser. I’ve had it since Dec 22nd (it’s now February 28th). I’ve used it daily/nightly non-stop & it works wonderfully. Easy to use/ easy to clean/ haven’t had one single issue with it yet. I recommend this diffuser over the unnecessarily high priced brands. It does make a soft gentle gurgling sound which I find quite relaxing & pleasant as if next to a small babbling brook. ... show more

As for the scent, I didn't receive anything but it's ok. I bought my own scent that I want. Amazing humidifier. I wish it would work a little bit stronger but otherwise, good purchase. It would be a good gift for someone.
