As long as no one gets too close to the trunk, this looks great. The trunk is clearly plastic if you get within three feet and pay attention to it, but realistically, people won't really notice unless they specifically go over to look at it. You might want to plan to get a pot or basket to put the planter in. It's perfectly fine, but looks a bit like a trash can. Once I get nice basket that's a more appropriate size for this size of plant, I think it will look much more natural. ... show more

Although this item was packed extremely well by the vendor,it experienced some issues during shipping.Unfortunately during the shipping process this item was delayed and upon arrival the main packaging arrived in an open box,without any evidence of an attempt to tape it closed.Understanding that this was not caused by the vendor but more likely the shipping department,and will not negatively affect my review.However I felt it was worth noting,as the vendor and consumers need to be aware,in case this is a recurring issue.The plant itself is one of the most realistic I've seen.However the enclosed vase is a bit lightweight and could use a weight to prevent any accidental tipping.Fortunately I was able to remedy the situation by placing something heavy in the base of the vase to ensure stability.Unlike other products in this category that I've reviewed,this plant has no offending order,and is able to be displayed immediately.Enclosed with foliage,trunk,vase,and moss for garnish all needing minimal assembly,which is quick and easy.Designed to add a little greenery in the homes of those like myself who have pets or lack a green thumb.These plants are easily maintained and can be rinsed in the shower as needed to remove dust.Although I'm not a fan of plastic materials,I've hypocritically made an exception for this type of product,as I appreciate the ambiance that plants create.Similar to a real plant this particular brand has the ability to trick the eye,while adding some life anywhere it is displayed. This just has a sophistication about it- the leaves are beautifully subdued /finished , there's a bit of a frosted touch, no feeling of plasticky fakeness about it. It is tall/ full height with the inclusion of the pot in which the plant sits in at the top. The trunk is very lifelike and the fronds/top is full with the perfect lush amount. You just attach the top to the trunk (seamless) and then place it in the tray which sets/inserts right at the top of the planter. There is included green faux moss to surround in the groove just around the base of the trunk. It stands tall and can work in so many decor settings. It is very chic & well made - 100% satisfied! I will say the planter is fairly light (plastic) bit there's plenty of room inside it, if you want to put some weight in so it's more sturdy for an outdoor windier setting. Great value. Easy to put together (just attach the top to the trunk, and then the tray into the pot, and the tree into that top tray + add included faux moss if desired). ... show more

I bought this with the black pot. it looks pretty artificial so I had to send this back. It just looked a little bit odd, and the leaves weren’t a real dark green color that I prefer.
