Yes it’s fake. Yes it looks fake. I read a lot of these negative reviews and people are saying it’s fake. It’s cheap. Not sure what they were expecting or received. We shopped major furniture stores looking for exactly what was pictured. We found several at RTG and City Furniture for $500-$700. We bought this Planter for $49 here , the plant 6’ for $60 I think. Styrofoam at Micheal’s for $6.99 and black and gray rocks $19 and this is the result. We love it. Blends in our modern coastal decor by adding a little bit of tropical bird of paradise. ... show more

The artificial tree looks very pretty. The height a perfect. I have to say the I wish the quality was firmer because as I opened up one of the leaves it got lose and it came off. ITEM: Artificial Plant Indoor Bird of Paradise Tree COMMENTS: I love large faux plants but am really picky about the quality and appearance - I’ve been through the wringer of options from the best of the best to the ‘why was this even made?’ PROS: - This plant is absolutely gorgeous - it’s full and positions very easily. - The attention to detail is fantastic. Many artificial plants lose the attention to detail at the base, but this one has excellent coloring and base detail. - For such a narrow base it’s quite stable. - It comes with really detailed instructions to help get the best leaf placement. NEUTRALS: - The base is quite narrow. While it does look realistic, i do wish that it was a bit wider for the size. - It’s only 5’ if you leave everything sticking straight up - if you adjust it it’s going to appear shorter but fuller. - It’s a great corner area plant. As with pretty much any artificial plant, it doesn’t hold up under close scrutiny, but still one of the better. CONS: - The ‘older’ leaves (dark green) have a bright green center. While it doesn’t look unrealistic necessarily, it doesn’t look as well detailed as the rest and doesn’t correspond well to any of the stalks - there are two dark green ones that don’t match any of the leaves well. WOULD I PURCHASE?: Absolutely. Despite some very small errors, it’s a gorgeous decoration and one of the better ones I have, especially at $62.99. CONCLUSION: This is a beautiful artificial plant and good for interior decoration. It’s got better attention to detail than most in the price range (but as with most/all artificial plants, it still has its flaws and won’t hold up to close scrutiny). I’m really pleased with it as an addition to my collection.
