This projector is perfect for kids! It comes with two covers, one that projects, star shapes, and another that projects dinosaur shapes. You can project the shapes in red green, blue and white or a combination of the three colors. You can also select an option that rotates through the colors. You can also make the light in the projector rotate, moving the stars around the room. We have a little fabric castle in our basement. When we combine that with the star projector, it feels like we are camping outside. It is also very fun as a night light, because it looks like a dinosaur egg. The media could not be loaded. First, some things to be aware of: No batteries are included for the remote, so you'll need 2 AAA batteries for that if you want to use it. Second, you will need a USB power adapter as none is included. Third, the length of the cord is 2 feet, so plan placement of the device accordingly. Impressively, this uses a USB-C connection which is much more convenient than the micro USB since it can plug into the device in either direction. The colors and night light effects are good for a kid's bedroom. The rotation is not too fast giving a nice movement to the stars or shapes. Two filters are included and they are easy to swap out. The device should probably be placed out of reach of children since it just rests in the stand and could be removed easily. Overall I didn't have a problem with setup or placement and the device functions perfectly as expected. Kids are entertained. ... show more

    • Decent light. Can be too bright...

I like the "projected" light and the fact that it can be dimmed with the remote, but I do wish there was a way to shut off just the bottom light. The bottom light has 2 light modes - white and blue. The blue is obviously not as bright as the white, but can still provide too much light depending on your room size, location, or just the preference of the user (so for my 4yo, it's too much). Other color light options would have been nice (like purple). My kid loves dinos but also loves purple. Just an idea for future versions to make something that isn't so male gender specific (girls like dinosaurs too you know). The remote is awesome! You can't change the settings much without it. It's mostly self-explanatory too, so that's helpful. There is one issue I had and maybe it was just us, but when I use the remote to turn on the light, if I hit the button that switches the lower blue light to the white light, it will not switch back to blue. When this happened, it also would not respond to the remote at all. I thought it was a fluke, but it happened each time I tested it. Purchased this as a night light for our daughter. The stars are really cute and she loves changing the colors. There are lots of options. The colors are vibrant and the white light can be bright, but you can change it to the blue and it won't be as bright. It does rotate the top piece if you want it to spin, but the small amount of noise it makes to rotate it is annoying. Our biggest issue is that it wont last one night on a charge. We have to leave it plugged in for it to last, so if you don't have an outlet handy, I wouldn't recommend this product. ... show more

I bought this as a night light for my three year old, and it didn’t even last 3 days. Now when I try to charge it, the red “charging” light won’t even come on. Waste of money!
